MMSB School Newsletter - Oct. A Green Year Ahead! Schools are leading the way in environmental initiatives, providing creative learning environments that empower our youth to make positive efforts to reduce their waste. Our school program promotes environmental stewardship within Newfoundland and Labrador’s school system, focusing on waste reduction as a means of protecting our environment. The successes we realize are only achieved because of teachers and administrators like you – environmental champions who have chosen to take action. We thank you for your leadership and for helping MMSB educate and motivate the youth of our province to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle the way to a greener future.
In 2012-2013, MMSB delivered 353 presentations to 52 schools across Newfoundland and Labrador, impacting more than 8,000 students.
