For this pattern I designed a relatively simple jacket, with each view having its own twist. One of these is a large collar, perfect for embellishment. Time to check out the Simplicity® 12-Needle Deluxe Felting Machine! For the jacket I purchased beautiful pearl grey lightweight boiled wool and started a “stash” of sheer and satin ribbon, bits of wool and some velvet remnants I was saving for something special. I also visited a couple of local yarn shops – instant inspiration, with all that color and texture.
Pretty soon I came up with a palette of blues and greens, influenced by the peacock feather motifs I had been seeing lately. The jacket was sewn together, minus the collar. Magic!
