Stencil Canvas. Photo Heart. Repurposing Maps. Good Morning darlings...Hope you have a fabulous day today!! With the use of GPS there is really not much use to all those maps we collected through out time...but somehow I have a hard time throwing them away. How about this lovely way of repurposing them?? I think they are super cute for a corridor to the kids room, or a small side wall!! I also love the vignette inspiration (Tray + vintage spoons & other + apothecary jars= total bliss!!). Can you think of any other great way of repurposing your maps?? {Image via 1. Glittering Lightscape. Vinyl of Canvas. First off hello!

Vinyl of Canvas

And THANK YOU for linking up soo many wonderful things! Wow! Come later this week (as i finish making my rounds) i'll showcase a few of your creations here on the blog.second, the jedi robes.so many of you asked where i got the pattern...they are modified versions of this pattern. maybe i can make a tutorial for the kid's version. we'll see.so no, to the gal who asked if i "just winged them". you don't have to hate me. ;) now lets talk about a little of what i've been working on, on top of the jedi robes. i love that at this stage in blogging i have sponsors that like to be... well my sponsors. Before i got this vinyl i asked lynnette (the owner) if it would work on canvas. she said "yeah! " *i took a 24 by 36 artist stretch canvas ( it took me two weeks to get one because i didn't know anyone going up to where a joann's was for that long...and you want to get it there because they are 40% off at the moment!)

Coffee Filter Wall. My pal Jennifer Jafarzadeh is the former lifestyle editor for Redbook magazine I met many months ago when I was going office-to-office launching my Simmons Natural Care by Danny Seo mattress line.

Coffee Filter Wall

She included the mattress in a great story in Redbook called “Made in America” that featured 50 products made right here in the United States (the mattress is made in Wisconsin). Jennifer is now off blogging and doing a very fun, very visual and very thorough blog that only a former magazine editor could do. If you want to bookmark a place to get great decorating, entertaining and lifestyle advice, her blog is a place to click on over to. One idea that I love is this photo of coffee filters simply tacked to the wall as decoration. It feels very ethereal, floaty and artistic…and it only costs a few dollars to re-create. Stencil Art. By 8thlopez on July 26, 2010 If you are a fan of graffiti or any type of street art, chances are you have come across an artist named Banksy who does impeccable stencil art installations and is now a world-renowned artist, even though he keeps his identity a secret.

Stencil Art

You may not be an aspiring Banksy, but would like to make some stencil art yourself. If you follow these directions you will be able to easily make stencil art of your own all by doing a quick picture edit, printing it out, cutting it out, and then painting! Block Posters. Recycled Newsprint Art. I live in a ground floor apartment and we share the front door and small passageway with the upstairs tennant.

Recycled Newsprint Art

He is one of these people who will never pick up their mail, we end up with big piles of it in the passageway for ages and ages. Its only in a neat pile because i sort it out every now and then throw out all of the junk mail and pile up all of his mail next to his door, if i didnt do this then the passageway would be a mess all the time. Its also a very boring passageway with blank walls with plaster chipping off and i wanted a way to cheer it up a bit. He has a hell of a temper, as we often hear through the rather thin ceilings so not wanting to say anything to him about the mail problem i tried to think of another idea, that is when i saw these posts. Hanging Book Art. While looking through etsy the other day, this wonderful shop caught my eye .

Hanging Book Art

I seem to be drawn to old books used in interesting ways these days. Perhaps it's my subconscious attempting to prepare me to return to school in the next few days. Ahhh, but let's not think about that, let's look at all of these wonderful things that can be made from old books, instead of discarding them. I think that you could also make the wall piece by using pages from magazines, you could get some really interesting colors that way.AHH looks like I have another project to add to my ever growing list. The creator of these lovely pieces, Lisa, informed me taht she has created a book that will be released in spring of 2011 called The Repurposed Library.
