First of all, I want to make clear that the way I'm starting this swatch - by working a row flat, then joining - is a personal preference. You might as well work in the round from the beginning, by joining your starting chain in the round before picking up the loops in the first forward pass. Trust me, this is coming from someone who has only dabbled in Tunisian and never done entrelac crochet. After sitting down with Kristin's tutorial, the pattern, and a hook, I gave the first large triangle section a try and was able to complete all six within about 45 minutes! Also to note, I was fresh out of Tunisian hooks so I grabbed a regular one that worked just fine as the passes only have 13 stitches at the most.
