Ghost Lights

Hang these ghosts onto some bare tree branches in the dark to scare them and have fun I have been playing with glue and gauze pads for a few days. I did a few experiments to check out which glue makes the best “gauze covered ping pong ball ghost lights”. I found that PVA glue such as Mod Podge is the best among. PVA glue or white craft glue dries into transparent rubbery texture so it gives a better hold for the gauze material and for the ghost to withstand the humid air during a misty night. At first, I thought laundry spray starch is sufficient to do the job. How to make a Giant Pumpkin. Several years ago, I found a tutorial on how to make giant-sized jack-o-lanterns on a website called, Stolloween.

How to make a Giant Pumpkin

Since I was enchanted with the huge pumpkins outside of Hagrid's cottage on Harry Potter, I knew that I had to try my hand at making my own jumbo pumpkin at some point. This October, I spotted a large fake pumpkin at Hobby Lobby for about $140.00 and was so shocked at the steep price that I went straight home and started figuring my own out. Effortlessly Document Your Party with Simple Photo Projects

The last party I actually setup a corner of the room as a photo booth using my mac and the built-in photobooth software. For added fun, I bought some large sheets of markerboard at Lowe's and cut them into cartoon bubbled and provided markers for people to write captions. (Sidenote: most of the captions ended up being bathroom humor for some reason.) As soon as the pictures were taken they were thrown into a slideshow and displayed on a large screen television in the room.

Everyone loved it and it was a lot of fun. The only warning I have - and maybe I just didn't do it correctly - is that I was never able to get the whole iphoto/screensaver/slideshow automation working. I ended up with a rather complicated solution - the same mac that was taking the pics was also running Parallels and using the windows version of Fast Stone image viewer which was displayed on the large screen television. » Ghost Lights That's What {Che} Said… I am so excited to share this little project with you all!

Ghost! Oh, my Eyeballs!! I was in one of my favorite thrift stores the other day and I had an idea! I first had thought of using some balls to make my idea but when I saw these I thought how great it would be if I could make them into lights! I found these fixtures, sorry I had taken the round white globes off to wash them but you will see them later. Then I needed to find a wooden base to put these lights on, I found this assortment of wooden items and thought they would look great stacked. Here are two of the wooden bowls stacked, glued together and a hole was drilled down the middle to put the electrical cord through. I bought two, 6 foot cheap extension cords and cut off the end with the plug ins on and left the end that use to plug into the wall. Take the end of the cord that you cut off and use some yellow wire nuts to attach the wires to the light. This was the finished globes! I used glass paint on the white globes and painted an eyeball.

Here are the bases that are now painted black and purple. Decorating a Spooky Halloween. Make a D.M. Bones Tombstone for Halloween. hAllOwEEn. Easy Tombstones - Page 4.
