Handmade Christmas Crackers {Craft: December 2012} Day 27 – Cook, Craft, Create: December 2012 I made my own Christmas crackers this year for when my family came to us for Boxing Day lunch.

Handmade Christmas Crackers {Craft: December 2012}

So, for day 27 of Cook, Craft, Create: December: 2012 I’m going to show you how you can make your own festive crackers! They are so easy to make and you can decorate them as simply or as elaborately as you like. To make your own crackers, you’re going to need toilet roll tubes – and lots of them! You’ll need 3 per cracker; so if you need to make 10 crackers, you’re going to need 30 tubes! You need cracker snaps – I bought mine from ebay, and I bought some small gifts to go inside my crackers – a little nativity set and some sweets. To decorate I had some stickers and some coloured raffia.

I started off by taping a snap inside a tube – it will be the middle tube when it comes to assembling the crackers. I then wrapped my tiny gift inside the paper hat, and popped that along with the sweets into the middle tube as well. Bags of Reindeer Noses {Create: December 2012} Day 21 – Cook, Craft, Create: December 2012 For day 21 of Cook, Craft, Create: December: 2012 I’ve put together bags of reindeer noses!

Bags of Reindeer Noses {Create: December 2012}

A sweet favour to give to guests if they drop in unexpectedly over the Christmas period I’ve made favour bags filled with goodies before for my Olympics Party and the Pink Flavoured Baby Shower I threw for my sister and brother-in-law – both of those posts I’ve shown how I make them so won’t go into that again for this post! I filled each bag with 7 Maltesers (I’m aware that there are 8 reindeer, but I didn’t have enough!)

I LOVE shopping and I love buying things for the people that I love – but I do not love shopping around Christmas!

Christmas Gift Guide For Crafters

I dislike the crowds, the queues, the car parking rage, the pandemonium, the stress… Many years ago I started doing all of my Christmas shopping online, and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. You can find unusual and unique gifts, shop your favourite high street stores, search for the best deals and get cashback, and, most importantly, do it all from the comfort of your home, in the warm, without the craziness, and at any time of day or night you want!

For me, that is a huge win! I’m putting together a some Christmas gift guides this year, as it lets me window shop (which I love doing!)
