Monkey House: A Complete Guide to Rubber Stamp Pads and Inks. As someone who’s been involved with rubber stamping for more than 25 years, I truly appreciate the vast array of stamp pads that are currently available on the market. There are so many stunning colors, and so many specialty inks that can be used to produce amazing effects! But I’ve got to admit that all these choices can get a bit overwhelming.

How can you possibly hope to make sense of all the different brand names and types of ink? Well, follow along, and we'll explore the alternatives and help you decide which ink pads will work best for your artistic style. The first inkpads I ever saw were those single-color office supply pads, enclosed in a case with a hinged lid. They 're great for marking a bill as "PAID" or a package as "FRAGILE", but they didn’t do much for me as an artist.

After shopping around at half a dozen office supply stores, I managed to collect a total of five colors, and the stamp impressions they provided were less than stunning. Fortunately, those days are over.

Scrappy Soo: Teresa Collins Stampmaker Review. On Tuesday night while casually surfing the Create&Craft site I came across the Teresa Collins Stampmaker. It was due to launch on Wednesday morning - but I decided to take the plunge before seeing the demo (what can I say - I'm impulsive and it was double discount!) It arrived on Friday and since then I've been having a bit of a play. BOTTOM LINE - I LOVE it. I've had a lot of fun and can see using this a fair bit over the next few months. HOWEVER - there is a learning curve, and you will make mistakes (I certainly did, and my online research indicates others have) and if that bothers you then you won't get along with this.

It's a bit messy - but as you get more experience it becomes easier to contain the mess. Or so I've found! What You Get The kit comes with the light box, a magnetic clamp which you put the negative and stamp packs in for processing, a brush for cleaning your stamps after they've cooked and a little container used to 'set' the stamps in the final stage. Simply me. "i cant believe i did that. " last thursday i spent the day at the Studio with the intention of painting on some too-large-for-my-home canvases. i actually dont normally go to the Studio to create, i am most comfortable creating at home, but because of the sizes of the canvases i decided to make a day of it and venture the 1.5 miles down the road from my house and use the Studio as my muse. i had 3 canvases going at once (Stephen and i are planning an event that pairs my mixed-media free-spirited style with his fine art figure painting abilities and i was supposed to be working on that, i never got there, lol!!) As i moved around the room i had reached a point on each that either they needed to dry or i was stumped as to where to go next. i have a couple larger in progress canvases stashed in the back room and took this piece out. i think it had been back there, stashed way in the back for about 6 months. until thursday!!!

I threw it up on the easel, looked at it and then started turning it. Harlequin | IndigoBlu. Silk Painting Kits and Fabric Decoration Supplies. Blade Rubber Stamps Magazines, Books and Catalogues : Books. Scrap365. Calls & Challenges. All artwork must arrive at our offices on or before the published deadlines. We prefer submissions of original art. If original art is not available, our next preference is high resolution digital images (300 dpi at 8-1/2 x 10").

If hi-res digital images are not available, we will very rarely consider professional-quality transparencies or color slides. Color-copy submissions are not accepted. All artwork must be identified with the artist’s name, address, e-mail and phone number clearly printed on a label attached to each sample. For collaborative projects, it is the responsibility of the submitting artist to obtain permission from each participant prior to submission.

If the artwork is three-dimensional, please attach your identification with a removable string, or pack the sample in a plastic bag with your identification. Depending on the publication, concise yet thorough instructions must accompany each art sample. Nicole Maynard Illustration: Brothers Grimm Illustrations. Yesterday found me pulling out my Ten Second Studio metal. Once I got started I couldn't stop until it was finished. Well almost couldn't, I got called away to go out for dinner with Mom, Dad and sister Nancy. Oh yeah and the Tin Man. He was lucky he got to come with since it was too cold to be away working! Art Journal Pages – Landscape « karenika.
