47 Raspberry Pi Projects to Inspire Your Next Build. If you’re looking for inspiration for your first Raspberry Pi project, look no further than the several dozen projects entered in the first ever Raspberry Pi Design Contest, sponsored by MCM Electronics. All the projects were entered into one of four categories – Artistic, Educational, Enclosure, and Utility – and are now competing for five prize packs, including a Printrbot Jr. 3D printer to be awarded to the grand prize winner. It’s been just over one year since the initial release of this single-board computer, and already makers have made some incredible projects with it. Judges are now reviewing these projects based on their documentation, project success, and unique application. The winners will be announced on or before April 25th. (Projects are arranged in the order they were received.) UPDATE: The Winners have been announced – click here to see the winners! Related.

Arduino and the MSGEQ7 Spectrum Analyzer. This is a tutorial on using the MSGEQ7 Spectrum Analyser with Arduino, and chapter forty-eight of a series originally titled “Getting Started/Moving Forward with Arduino!” By John Boxall – A tutorial on the Arduino universe. The first chapter is here, the complete series is detailed here. Updated 10/11/2014 In this article we’re going to explain how to make simple spectrum analysers with an Arduino-style board. (Analyser? Analyzer? Take your pick). First of all, what is a spectrum analyser? It’s a mixed graphic equaliser/spectrum analyser deck for a hi-fi system.

We’ll be using the MSGEQ7 “seven band graphic equaliser IC” from Mixed Signal Integration. And then build your own circuit around it… or like most things in the Arduino world – get a shield. As usual Sparkfun have saved a few cents by not including the stackable header sockets, so you’ll need to buy and solder those in yourself. So now you have a shield that’s ready for use. To demonstrate this process, consider the function. Soldering Iron Tips > SMD Rework Stations > Main Section > SRA Soldering Products. Audio Cabinets. Basic Electronic Tutorials On AC, DC, Semiconductor, and Digital Theory. A Dummies’ Guide to Working with Wall Warts :: DXing.info. A Dummies’ Guide to Working with Wall Warts By John H. Bryant, with Bill Bowers edited version, January 2005 I’ve often been frustrated by my lack of understanding of the simplest electronic device that any of us possess: the ubiquitous “wall wart” plug-in power supply. I must confess that when I have co-authored technical articles in the past, the emphasis is very much on the “co.” In such projects, I generally perform as scribe, editor, graphic artist and all-around cheerleader, while relying on my partner to supply the essential technical expertise and applied creativity. In case you aren’t familiar with the slang term “wall wart,” that refers to the seemingly solid block brick that plugs into the AC mains electrical wall outlet and provides DC power to various consumer devices from cell phones through medium-sized radios to many computer peripherals.

Cautions At its simplest, there are three possible outcomes to a project like this and two of them are BAD. Discussion Filtering. Bread Board Tips and Tricks: Beginner to Proficient. Some More Updates at New post(22/11/2012) We have all used breadboards, or those who plan to jump into the fascinating world of electronics need to know about them. This article focuses on introducing breadboards inside out, to help people use them and prototype their innovations faster. We would walk through Bread board concepts, connecting various chips & devices, efficient prototyping and documenting the designs. [1] What is a Bread Board ? Bread Board or more precisely Solder-less Bread Board is one of the essential tools for any one stating with electronics or microcontrollers. Apart from the above breadboards are also available in kit form. . [2] General know how on Length Units used in Electronics.Going forward in this tutorial it is important to note that we would be using a particular unit a lot of times "mil" or also popularly known as "TH". 1 Inch => 1000 mil => 2.54 cm => 25.4 mm 1 mil => 0.001 Inch => 0.00254 cm => 0.025 mm Also: 1 mm => 0.1 cm => 39.37 mil=> 0.03937 Inch.
