A 39-year-old Minneapolis woman was cited for misdemeanor animal cruelty on Tuesday when she tried to ship a puppy to a family member in Georgia by way of the U.S. Postal Service. I kid you not. The woman, Stacey Champion, delivered a box to the Loring Park postal office and was asked if the package contained anything perishable, hazardous or liquid. She said no, but advised the post office employee assisting her to be very careful because the contents of the box were “so delicate”. The outside of the box contained a note for the recipient: “This is for your 11th birthday.
Upon opening the package everyone was absolutely stunned to find a very alive and adorable black poodle-schnauzer mutt named Guess. Guess was apparently overjoyed to be released from his shipping container. And this story gets even better (i.e. weirder). The eminent minds at TSA saw fit to confiscate an armed soldier’s nail clippers because he might use them to take over the plane. At this point I would like to point out that he was not armed with nail clippers, he was armed with an assault rifle – which was apparently acceptable because it didn’t have bullets.
