Failure of Ian Watmore, the man who ‘wasn’t chief and wasn’t exe

Fresh allegations of racism against the Metropolitan Police are likely to emerge in coming days, senior black police officers have warned, saying that the investigation at present under way had been “only a matter of time”. Superintendent Leroy Logan, a founder and former chairman of the Metropolitan Black Police Association (MetBPA), said that the complaints of racism in the ranks of Scotland Yard had vindicated a view that the police “under protect and over suspect” certain communities. His comments came as ten complaints of racism against Scotland Yard were referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), just days after the force vowed to get the the bottom of “very damaging” footage of an officer apparently racially abusing a man and another allegedly assaulting a teenage boy last summer. Five officers have been suspended after 20 Metropolitan police officers and a police staff member were investigated for alleged racist incidents. http://www.timesplus.co.uk/tto/news/?login=false&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thetimes.co.uk%2Ftto%2Fsport%2Ffootball%2Fpremierleague%2F#cid=OTC-RSS&attr=796995

Victor Chandler, chairman of the company that bears his name was optimistic about Forest's chances: “This season has been a huge success and I am confident the team will secure promotion to the Premier League. “The global television coverage of the Premier League offers worldwide media opportunities and will benefit our Far East business particularly,” he added. Chandler risks a pay-out of up to £6 million should Forest win promotion to the Premier League as champions: he has pledged to renew all Forest fans' season tickets should Billy Davies' team win the Championship.
