Photography workshop Blenheim. Beautiful Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire is a World Heritage Site and an incredible setting for this one day workshop.
The palace sits in 2,000 acres of landscaped gardens punctuated by matures trees, contrasting with the intricate formal gardens. Photography workshop at Borde Hill Gardens. Our Workshop will be held at the beautiful Borde Hill Garden in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, just over an hour from London.
Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with spectacular views over the Sussex Weald and the Ouse Valley, Borde Hill’s grounds extend to over 200 acres across the garden, woodland and parkland. The 17 acres of formal garden are designed in a series of outdoor ‘rooms’, each with its own distinctive character, colour and scent. From the exotic ‘Garden of Allah’ and the beautiful Azelea Ring, to the traditional Rose Garden and peaceful Italian Garden, Borde Hill is a treat for the senses. The historic Garden is constantly evolving with new plantings and designs to add to variety, colour and interest throughout the year. Borde Hill has received numerous awards, including the Historic Houses Association ‘Garden of the Year’.
Springtime’s magnificent displays of early flowering magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas are a sight to behold. Aurora Borealis photography tours. Situated on a beautiful island, Tromsø is one of the world’s northernmost cities and the starting point for our adventure of a lifetime in pursuit of aurora borealis.
We will be surrounded by a truly spectacular & rugged landscape in the early grips of winter. We will be based about ninety minutes from Tromsø city centre, well away from the city lights, where huge mountains and fjords meet the ocean at the stunning island location of Sommorøy. We will be within very easy reach of some of the most spectacular locations to photograph the northern lights anywhere on the planet. As well as evenings chasing aurora borealis, we will enjoy sunrise and sunset photography when the hopefully white snow covered landscape is transformed at these moments with soft, colourful light. Arctic winter will just be beginning, the temperatures starting to fall, but we will be able to explore the conditions before this part of the world is exposed to its very cold harsh arctic winter.
New Zealand landscape photography Tour. New Zealand is a landscape photographer’s dream; the country offers some of the most contrasting and diverse landscape of any small country, from snow-capped mountains to temperate rainforest and wild coastlines.
During this 20 day tour we will photograph some of the country’s best untouched wilderness in numerous national parks, including the two world heritage areas of Te Wahipounamu and Tongariro. As well as the endless amazing landscapes, this tour will also offer the chance to photograph some of the country’s best coastal wildlife including albatross, gannets, penguins and fur seals. The tour will start in the city of Christchurch. After a night here we will head for Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain, where we will stay for two nights (at Mount Cook village – not the mountain itself!). Our first morning will see us taking a dawn flight in ski planes up to the Tasman Glacier to land at some 7,000 feet and catch the first rays of sunshine on the mountains. Photography Tour Santorini. Many of the villages of Santorini are perched on the edge of one of the most spectacular volcanic calderas on the planet.
The magnificent views across the caldera take in the picturesque villages with the exquisite blue domed churches for which this Greek Island is famed. Santorini lies at the southern end of the Cyclades group of Greek islands, the last stopping off point before Crete. It has been continually re-shaped over the centuries by a series of violent volcanic eruptions. The current archipelago surrounds a huge caldera filled with sea water. Photography Tour to Spitsbergen. After the success of our Spitsbergen tour in 2013, we are lucky enough to have secured the M/S Stockholm for an intimate tour in September 2016 with photography leaders Antony Spencer and Justin Reznick.
We will have the whole ship (a maximum of 12 places) and therefore have free-reign to go where we wish! (Although some decisions may be affected by weather, ice, animals) We cannot express enough that for a team of landscape photographers to have all the decision making on a vessel around Spitsbergen is a great opportunity. We can prioritise the landscape options we wish to visit and also capitalise on the big wildlife such as polar bears and walrus. The MS Stockholm is a small ship which will enable us to get close to both the landscape and shoreline of Spitsbergen and also more excitingly big mammals such as polar bears providing fantastic photographic opportunities.
This is a once in a lifetime 11 day private tour! Sifnos Photography Tour. Photography Tour to Iceland. Second tour due to popular demand!
Iceland is incredible at any time of year but through the winter months when the landscape is transformed by a covering of snow and ice it becomes even more spectacular than ever. Lofoten Islands Photography Tour. Norway is internationally famous for what Slartibartfast, in A Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, memorably referred to as the “crinkly bits” – fjords!
The Lizard Peninsula Photography Workshop. Light & Land Paris Photography Tour. Can there be any city in Europe, in the World, more photogenic than Paris?
With Montmartre, the Champs Élysées, the Seine, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Sacré-Cœur, the palace at Versailles and of course, the Eiffel Tower. It is a city of beautiful avenues and boulevards, street cafes and bridges all surrounding the ever photogenic river Seine at its heart.
