Top Ten Song Charts (By the 'I Love Charts' Master)

Some are finely crafted by designers and sent along the major media channels; some are scrawled on napkins and submitted by fans. Some provide incredible insight; some are sophomoric, one-note gags. The charts I see range across all topics, from the sublime to the ridiculous. Yet, for whatever reason, the most frequently submitted kind of chart, from amateurs or professionals, is the song chart. But what about traveling to places where you can witness some of the weirdest natural phenomena on earth? Like this… No, it’s not a bird, it’s not a plane, and it’s definitely not an alien invasion; that strange glowing green light in the sky is an atmospheric phenomenon called an aurora.

Auroras occur when solar winds crash into the earth’s atmosphere, causing ions, atoms and molecules to explode into neon light. What results is an amazing color show where waves of light twist and wind into the shape of ribbons and arcs. Before I Die. What matters most to you Interactive public art project that invites people to share their personal aspirations in public.

Before I Die

After losing someone she loved and falling into depression, Chang created this experiment on an abandoned house in her neighborhood to create an anonymous place to help restore perspective and share intimately with her neighbors. The project gained global attention and thanks to passionate people around the world, over 1000 Before I Die walls have now been created in over 70 countries, including Kazakhstan, Iraq, Haiti, China, Ukraine, Portugal, Japan, Denmark, Argentina, and South Africa. The walls are an honest mess of the longing, pain, joy, insecurity, gratitude, fear, and wonder you find in every community, and they reimagine public spaces that nurture honesty, vulnerability, trust and understanding.

The Before I Die book is a celebration of these walls and the stories behind them.
