Tony Robbins - Breathing Exercise. Deep breathing is so important because, unlike our blood flow, the lymph system does not have a ‘pump’ to push the lymph fluids around our bodies.
Rather, the lymph system requires the muscular movement which is created by breathing. As well as acting as a filter, the lymph system is also able to destroy bacteria, viruses and abnormal cells, such as cancer cells. The lymphatic system also plays a huge role in the effectiveness of our immune system. The Tony Robbins Breathing Exercise If you are able to give yourself five to ten minutes each day to practice deep, cleansing ‘power breathing’ then you will definitely reap the rewards. The Tony Robbins breathing exercise is mentioned in the excellent book Unlimited Power and basically consists of breathing in the following ratio: Breath in for 1 count;Hold for 4 counts;Breath out for 2 counts. For example – if you were to breath in for four seconds, then you would hold your breath for sixteen seconds and then breath out for eight.

Cox - 12/11/2006 QuestionI have a big audition coming up in a few months, and I need to go back to my training exercises, but I can't remember the breathing techniques I learned in high school. Breath will be very important because the audition centers on classical speeches with long, drawn out phrases. Any suggestions to get me started would be greatly appreciated. AnswerHi Lisa, First of all, lie on your stomach on the floor. Another one you can try is to exhale all of your air, really push it out, and then hold yourself empty for a couple of seconds.. You can do sustained hissing sounds and keep adding beats to stretch your duration. Another thing you should be aware of when using the voice is how the air is managed. Here is an exercise for that. Sing a long sustained zzzzz sound. To get the feeling of starting the sound with the mechanism hooked up, make a sound like a car with a drained battery. I hope this helps. Robert.
