A House of Straw. A House of Straw. Jordi Canosa. | StrawBale.com. Strawtec.com.au :: News. A Brief Overview My name is Amos and I live in Brisbane with my Wife Natalie and my beautiful 3 year old daughter Isabella. Over the past few years Natalie and I have been looking for ways to live a self-sufficient lifestyle with a particular emphasis on a healthy and energy efficient home. When we began learning about sustainable building, straw bale homes caught our attention. What appealed to us was the organic, warm look and feel about them. To learn more about this building material we signed up for a 5 day straw bale construction course in November 2011. Frank Thomas from yesterday- today- tomorrow straw bale construction hosted the course at the AREC facility in Mudgee.

I had some knowledge of the building method from articles, books and internet but after the first day I immediately discovered how much I didn’t know. We plan to build our own straw bale house sometime in the next 2 years, so the more knowledge and experience we have the easier the build should be. Day 1 Day 2 Day 3. How to create a fiber optic starfield ceiling. Hi everyone, This is a quick instruction guide on creating a fiber-optic starfield ceiling. The stars have a very natural twinkle & glow. My fiber optic illuminator also features a handy remote for turning the stars on&off, as well as controlling the twinkle speed.

This is my very first instructable, so I hope everything comes out well. I'll try to answer any questions that readers may have. My wife and I are expecting our very first baby in about 4 weeks. I've seen instructables and "how-tos" on creating high-contrast mobiles and decorations, but the 'blinking lights' part escaped me. I made a small video to summarize most of the starfield features. The effect is much prettier in person and it's a very simple process.
