Ecrire de façon professionnelle consiste essentiellement à savoir (beaucoup) réécrire, mais aussi à juger quand son texte est prêt à être livré à un éditeur ou producteur. Voici un planning de réécriture que je trouve très pertinent… Beaucoup d’auteurs débutants ont tendance à croire que leur tâche est achevée au moment où ils tapent le mot fin sur leur clavier, ce qui demande déjà, il est vrai, de gros efforts. Le vrai travail d’écriture pro débute pourtant à cette étape… Aucun texte n’est publié, ou porté à l’écran sous forme de premier jet, tout auteur en est plus ou moins conscient. Ce qu’il vous faut bien intégrer, jeunes padawans, en revanche, c’est qu’il est extrêmement rare qu’un premier jet permette de décrocher un contrat d’édition ou production. The character tells you the reasons they are doing something...and they are the real reasons. It is called "on-the-nose" dialogue. Too much OTN dialogue in a screenplay usually creates one emotional reaction from an audience -- boredom. The solution is a screenplay filled with subtext...and it is easier to do than you think. First, let's look at a definition of subtext. Subtext Definition: Subtext is the meaning beneath the text. Your job is simply to put meaning beneath the surface and have the surface words and actions either point to that meaning or cover up that meaning. It is easy to identify when you see it done well, but it does take some understanding to do it well. EXAMPLE: "You had me at Hello. " Everyone knows this line from the movie JERRY MAGUIRE.
