The 36 Plots. This article is descended from an article I wrote several years ago about plotted games, based on my interpretation of a book by Georges Polti called The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations.

The 36 Plots

There are several other improvisations on my article floating around the internet, and at least one independently written article similar to it. Parts of the Story Assuming a RPG is like a story, what are the different structural parts of the story and how do they work in the RPG? Plot. Basic form of the story, includes major incidents and encounters. Those who argue against storytelling within rpgs seem to say the GM's only jobs are setting and character (and maybe dialogue) and plot isn't important, much like slice of life writers argue with more traditional writers over the proper structure of short stories. The Basic Plots Each short plot description starts with the title of the plot pattern. To use these things, sometime in your planning, pick one of the 36 plots to use for your adventure. 77 Facts That Sound Like Huge Lies But Are Actually Completely True.

10 Things a Pregnant Woman Deserves  6 Things Every Extrovert Secretly Has To Deal With. Over the past few years I’ve noticed a growing number of articles exclaiming, “How To Take Care of An Introvert” or “10 Things Everyone Should Understand About Introverts” and while I have no real problem with introverts and introversion, my issue is with the fact that people of the internet seem to have romanticized introversion in a way that turns any possible social impediments a person might have into desirable quirky traits.

6 Things Every Extrovert Secretly Has To Deal With

Not only this, but extroverts are suddenly the bad guys for not understanding introverts or mistreating introverts, etc, etc. As a self-proclaimed extrovert, I’m pretty sick and tired of people assuming that introverts are the only people who have got it hard. Really, seriously? Are we really going to play this game? Now you look here, mister. 1. 2. Most extroverts I know are happy-go-lucky people who like to keep the conversation going, make people laugh and have a good time as often as they can. 3. 4. 5. 6. Of Beards, Politics, Music and Faith – A Conversation with Demon Hunter. You can define a man by his beard, his politics, his music and his faith.

Of Beards, Politics, Music and Faith – A Conversation with Demon Hunter

Demon Hunter’s vocalist Ryan Clark is no exception to the rule. He wears his faith on his sleeve and in his lyrics, keeps his politics as far from his music as possible, and pushes himself to write the best music he can and grows an impressive beard. His Beard Unfortunately, only a day before calling his house in Seattle, and much to the dismay of Demon Hunter fans, the man is now without his beard. At its longest it came in at an impressive 13 and a half inches and as Clark says, it was the result of two years continuous growth. “For me it’s a silly thing. How (and why) to be the meanest mom in the world. 10 Common Mistakes Parents Today Make (Me Included)  When I became a mom, I got lots of advice on how to love my child.

10 Common Mistakes Parents Today Make (Me Included)

But not until a few years ago did someone actually point out that loving a child means wanting what's best for them long-term. When my four daughters were young, long-term didn't resonate with me. Back then it was about survival, meeting daily needs and keeping my head above water. Now that my kids are maturing, however, the fog is lifting. I'm no longer a pledge of parenting, but rather an indoctrinated member.

These days, I put more thought into long-term. What is your favourite documentary, and why? : AskReddit. The Justin Biebers of Minecraft Are Rewriting the Marketing Playbook. On a large screen in a conference room at's San Francisco office, the face of an adolescent girl appears.

The Justin Biebers of Minecraft Are Rewriting the Marketing Playbook

Like an affectless Wizard of Oz, her floating head manages to mumble “Hi,” but is otherwise wordless. She's dialed in at the behest of her father, an executive at the cloud computing company. He insists she's a huge fan of YouTube supergroup TeamCrafted, who just happen to be in the house. One by one, the YouTubers pop in front of the camera to talk to her. They smile, wave and videobomb each other, playfully scooting their office chairs around in the background.

The girl looks on. Israel to Build the 5th Largest Solar Power Station on the Planet. Israel plans to start construction next year on what will become the fifth largest solar power station in the world, part of a plan to build three such structures that will curb their dependency on fossil fuels. The $1.1 billion solar plant will be able to generate 121 megawatts of electricity by the time it's finished in 2016.

That's enough juice to power 40,000 homes, and it's only part of the 250 megawatts that all three solar plants will generate. That's about 2.5% of Israel's energy consumption, according to Inhabitat. The project will also contribute to the nation's plan to generate 10% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020. The station works by setting up heliostat mirrors that bounce sun rays toward solar power towers. Construction of the plants will be a joint venture teaming American company Brightsource with the French firm Alstom.

Brightsource declined to answer questions about its Israel venture, and Alstom did not immediately respond for comment.
