It is safe to disable/freeze/delete these (I prefer disable/freeze unless you are hurting for app space). You can disable them by going to the app drawer > select the menu button > select "Manage apps" > Select "All" > Then you select the app you want to disable and the option to do so should be in the upper fight hand corner.
