Effective Space Management Tips | Interior Design & Decor. Organization is the key to effective space management at your home. It’s great when you have much space at home but if the things aren’t organized you will always crave for more space. Organizing things is not only about putting them in the right place and keeping them in order. Selecting, sorting and ridding is also a part of the organization process. If you don’t really need that clothes or those dishes you don’t use anymore why keep them? Choose furniture according to its functionality. If you have many books then you obviously need shelves to keep them on your walls and instead of the floor. Walls are one of the rare areas of our house that don’t get much cluttered with stuff. Space-conscious furniture is one of the most common effective space management tricks built-in wardrobes and beds, folding tables and sofas are simply lifesavers when it comes to saving space.

Yesterday Toshiba hosted a conference call and there was a lot of talk about their new Toshiba Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet called the Thrive. It will be available for pre-order on June 13th with shipping scheduled for early to mid July. The Thrive will be the first mainstream Android device for Toshiba. They say they are in this for the long-haul. Every manufacturer is doing something unique with their tablet, and Toshiba is putting their efforts into external ports. Other features of the the Thrive include a 5MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, a Tegra 2 processor, and Android 3.1 onboard. The pictures below show a few accessories which include docks, cases, and colors.

Toshiba will be bundling some apps which include a file manager, media manager, Quick Office, Need for Speed, PrinterShare, and LogMeIn. Pricing is very competitive. If you’re kind enough to revisit here in the future, you’ll be hearing about a program called Quicksilver that’s become an important part of how I work with my Mac. I figure since I’ll be talking about it so much, it’s probably beneficial to give you a little lead time in case you’re interested in following along. So here’s a quickish introduction as well as some information and links on getting you started with the home version. About Quicksilver Quicksilver is a free (as in beer) application made by Blacktree, Inc. It is available as a modestly sized download from the Quicksilver product page. Quicksilver is just an application (as opposed to low-level widget, PrefPane, haxie, etc.), so even when it runs from log-in it’s not, to my knowledge, doing much to your machine other than writing preferences and monitoring how you use it.

What’s a “launcher?” Quicksilver is, at the heart of things, what’s known as an “application launcher.” “So,” you’re asking. The pitch But, first things first.
