Guido Daniele. Peter Callesen. Peter Callesen (born in Copenhagen in 1967) is a Danish artist and author.
Callesen is renowned for his talent in combining the minimalism of a big crisp white sheet of paper with the complexity of meticulously cut and folded paper and uses the two to build out some aesthetically pleasing compositions. Particularly noteworthy are his works where the remains of the cut and folded objects are literally shadows of the objects former self. He uses the positive and negative space to tell a sometimes-dark story about the past and future of his subject using only a white sheet of paper. Callesen also works with a variety of other media including installations, performances, and monoprints. He creates intricate papercut artwork from A4 paper and in large-scale installations.

Some of the artists featured here use simple materials, such as A4 printing papeel, while others resort to unexpected materials, such as actual books, as their prime materials. Lauren Clay. Mercedes-Benz.tv: Mixed Tape - paper art: Lauren Clay. An Interview with Lauren Clay. Lauren Clay’s regimented sculptures seem to grow out of gallery walls like intergalactic plant life or rock formations — their repeating parts coalesce into fluid organic shapes, inviting the viewer to imagine what the Earth might have been like if nature evolved from a neon color palette.
Part intellectual and part spontaneous, Clay’s meticulous constructions flow out of the artist’s philosophical explorations. Lauren took a moment to chat with Nastia Voynovskaya about art history, the mysterious titles of her works and the ins-and-outs of papier-mâché. – Nastia Voynovskoya What is your artistic background and how did you come to work with paper sculptures? I have a background in painting, but my work has always had a very spatial, sculptural aspect to it. Dahmen. How To Make An Endless Love Valentine Card. Five Awesome Pop-Up Paper Sculptures. Jungmo Kwon. SUP.SOG, new lighting by Jungmo Kwon, evokes the forest through imagery and the use of cardboard.
The designer extends the life of the humble packing material by using the poetry of light to convey a sense of peace and nature. The intention is twofold: to be more aware of the materials we throw away and to remember the natural chaos found within nature. + jungmokwon.blogspot.com.
