The 10 Best Disney Songs You've Never Heard
Anyone can whistle or sing their favorite Disney song, but for every ‘Under the Sea’ and ‘A Whole New World,’ there are dozens of orphaned tunes that never made it into their respective film. Too bad, since many of these unfortunate victims of time constraints or script rewrites are really catchy. However, many of these never-before-seen songs have surfaced online with their accompanying storyboards to let us sigh and wonder at what might have been. Take a look at 10 great Disney songs that were left on the cutting room floor. The creative team of 'Aladdin' had to make numerous changes to the film, including cutting many songs, characters and trimming the plot. This is What Happens When You Give Thousands of Stickers to Thousands of Kids
This December, in a surprisingly simple yet ridiculously amazing installation for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Ar , artist Yayoi Kusama constructed a large domestic environment, painting every wall, chair, table, piano, and household decoration a brilliant white, effectively serving as a giant white canvas. Over the course of two weeks, the museum’s smallest visitors were given thousands upon thousands of colored dot stickers and were invited to collaborate in the transformation of the space, turning the house into a vibrantly mottled explosion of color. How great is this? Given the opportunity my son could probably cover the entire piano alone in about fifteen minutes. The installation, entitled The Obliteration Room , is part of Kusama’s Look Now, See Forever exhibition that runs through March 12. If you liked this you’ll also enjoy Roman Ondak’s Room of Heights and Karina Smigla-Bobinski’s helium-filled kinetic drawing sculpture .Meditation is simply the training of the mind. It has been used, primarily for spiritual practices, for thousands of years. The effects are numerous.

Banksy didn’t win an Academy Award, wasn’t spotted at the show and didn’t even bother to vandalize the Kodiak Theater restrooms – disappointing stuff, we know. On a positive note, the hype surrounding his nomination brought attention to an often overlooked film genre, the documentary. While Exit Through the Gift Shop starts our list, other noteworthy art and design documentaries have been released in the past few years. 12. Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010)

What a clever idea! DIY firefly jars, sans fireflies.
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at 8:14 am by Jenna I’m in love with this idea… and such a cool alternative to patio lights. All you have to do is gather a few mason jars, flick some glow-in-the-dark paint in the jars, and let them sit in the sun to charge during the day. By the time your dinner party rolls around you’ll have firefly lanterns. I think it would be cute to do this same thing with mini jars, and string them up somehow… hmmm.Hijacking Emotion Is The Key To Engaging Your Audience
The default to emotion is part of the human condition. To better appreciate the role of emotion and what it allows an audience to do, we need to take a brief detour into evolutionary biology. The human brain can be understood as three separate brains working in tandem, if not completely integrated with each other. The primitive brain and the limbic brain collectively make up the limbic system, which governs emotion. Within the limbic system, there is a structure called the amygdala, which leaders need to understand.Flickr photographer Patrícia Almeida recently shot these great photos of a wonderfully whimsical umbrella art installation in Portugal. Like something out of a fairy tale, the umbrellas look almost like they're magically floating in mid-air. As she writes, "In July, in Águeda (a Portuguese town), some streets are decorated with colorful umbrellas. I felt like a kid, amazed by all that color!" She calls it Umbrella Sky .
