In fact.....If Chinese speaking people compared to the size of China works out at 327 people per square mile of Chinese soil. English speaking people compared to the size of England works out at a massive 6,514 people per square mile. Hence making English a far more widely spread language I believe. Also the population of China is approximately 1,338,299,512 and only 1,213,000,000 speak Mandarin. The population of England is approximately 51,456,400 with a huge 320,000,000 speaking English means it is a far wider spread language then Mandarin....Not that I'm trying to say you're wrong but you can't just look at one fact.
