SetViewDirection Command. SetPerspective Command. SetPerspective[ <Text> ] Changes the layout and visibility of Views.

SetPerspective Command

The text parameter describes the desired layout. The text should be a valid expression - Views are represented by variables (letters): the horizontal arrangement of Views is represented by the related letters juxtaposition, and their vertical arrangement by a division symbol /. Example: SetPerspective["G"] makes only the Graphics View visible SetPerspective["AGS"] makes Algebra, Graphics and Spreadsheet View visible, aligned horizontally SetPerspective["S/G"] makes Spreadsheet and Graphics View visible with Spreadsheet on top and Graphics View below SetPerspective["S/(GA)"] is similar as above, the bottom part of the screen consists of Graphics View on the left and Algebra View on the right Instead of these expressions you may also use a text containing a single digit to use a predefined perspective: SetColor Command. SetColor[ <Object>, <Red>, <Green>, <Blue> ] Changes the color of given object.

SetColor Command

The red, green and blue represent amount of corresponding color component, 0 being minimum and 1 maximum. Number t exceeding this interval is mapped to it using function . SetColor[ <Object>, <"Color"> ] Geogebra and R. Introduction Here we show how to call the R software for statistical computing from Geogebra using the Rserve R package.

Geogebra and R

Rserve will make R to behave as a server so that it can be called from Geogebra. In this way, we expect to use many R functions not available in Geogebra. Linear Algebra - Linear Transformations. The transformation matrix and its determinant If the unit vectors \mathbf{e_1} and \mathbf{e_2} are mapped onto the vectors \mathbf{u}=\binom{a}{b} and \mathbf{v}=\binom{c}{d}, then the transformation matrix is given by \mathbf{T}=\left( \begin{array}{} a & c \\ b & d \\ \end{array} \right) The absolute value of the determinant gives the scale factor of the areas.

Linear Algebra - Linear Transformations

Check out the transformed image of the Mandelbrot set when the determinant is negative! In order to visualize a linear transformation of a polygon in GeoGebra, do this: Make two vectors \mathbf{u} and \mathbf{v} starting at the origin. Linear transformations of curves The graph of a function f(x) can be drawn as a curve c by writing the code:

Since this web site relies heavily on lengthy Javascript calculations, it may be worth pointing out that Google Chrome is faster than the other browsers when it comes to Javascript (no, I don't work for Google, and I personally prefer Firefox, but I have made several tests to check out browsers when it comes to Javascript, and Chrome is best).

This is handy if you want to make a ruler-compass-construction. Restricting the number of tools, can also be used as a help for the students. You customise the tool bar under the menu Tools->Customise toolbar... This window is also used for restoring the default toolbar. Create a Tool! You can create your own tools in GeoGebra. Start by creating your construction Choose Tools->Create New Tool... Name your tool and click Finish The Sierpinski triangle The recording below shows how to create a tool to make a Sierpinski triangle. Pattern of pentagrams Construct a pentagram as shown on the page GeoGebra Tutorial - Constructions. When making a repetetive pattern, the final construction will contain very many objects.
