http://laughingsquid.com/waveform-necklace-design-generated-from-recording-your-own-voice/ The Waveform Necklace by Berlin-based designer David Bizer is a cool custom necklace that is created using an audio recording of a voice. The necklaces can be ordered from Bizer in acrylic, wood or silver and are strung on leather, PVC or elastic . Bizer has also recently provided a detailed tutorial on Instructables to make the necklace at home. The representation of the waveform looks preciser with thinner materials. Short samples work better.

Dove Hires Criminal Sketch Artist to Draw Women as They See Themselves and as Others See Them

Dove and Ogilvy Toronto hired him to interview and draw seven different women—two sketches of each. The first sketch was based on each woman's personal description of herself. The second was based on a description provided by a stranger the woman had just met. Of course, the differences are vast.

A record player that plays slices of wood. Year ring data is translated into music, 2011. Modified turntable, computer, vvvv, camera, acrylic glass, veneer, approx. 90x50x50 cm. A tree’s year rings are analysed for their strength, thickness and rate of growth. This data serves as basis for a generative process that outputs piano music. It is mapped to a scale which is again defined by the overall appearance of the wood (ranging from dark to light and from strong texture to light texture). http://traubeck.com/years/
