Andy HoboTraveler.Com Travel Blog GOING TO MARRAKECH

http://www.hobotraveler.com/2004/11/going-to-marrakech.html I am packing up and getting ready to leave, I am waiting for the sun to rise so I can unhook my convoluted system of having electricity in this room. My room and the hallway outside my room are dark as a cave, so I cannot move without light, and I need to climb on the table to undo the electrical bulb plug system I have hooked up, and I need just a little light. Essaouira has been good, the Fortress city I have been living is good, the people are ok, the beach is ok, it needs to be summer for this beach to be good, the cost of the hotel is good, but the food and staples cost is way to high. I hope the cost of Restaurants and such here are abnormal because if the normal person has to pay this much for food in the restaurant or market then this country is in poverty, because they surely cannot sell enough of the trinket here to make enough money.
From an article 1 : Another possible conclusion is that the CIA is onto something here. The CIA letter highlights the bizarre paradox of Washington's behaviour. Although President George Bush always couches talk of invasion in terms of enhancing American security, it's hard to imagine a more reckless policy when it comes to that very security. The obvious way to make America safer would be to reduce the level of hatred people in many parts of the world feel toward America.

Officials from Pakistan's Department of Archaeology and Museums have unearthed an entire Buddhist settlement at Takht Bhai in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province. According to The News, the newly discovered ridge contains residential houses for monks, with the entire settlement comprised of ten houses having a special structure. The layout includes two storey buildings with each having a courtyard and two rooms built in them on a separate platform. Also all the houses are connected with each other through stairs, with each having stairs to its upper storey on the backside of the building. Each house also has a stupa built outside it. For three years, in a small lab in Rapid City, S.D., state archaeologists have been participating in the excavation of a 19th-century Chinese neighborhood buried under the fabled Wild West boomtown of Deadwood.

Daily Kos UT Ann Coulter Event

http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/ My Atlantic colleague Jeffrey Goldberg just scored an extensive interview with President Obama in which Obama says to Iran and Israel, "As President of the United States, I don't bluff." Goldberg's preamble is important and must-read, but the interview itself is vital and gives one a good sense of both Obama's strategic strengths and weaknesses. The decision of the White House to talk to Goldberg reflects their desire to speak to what Obama defined in the interview as "the Israeli people, and. . .the pro-Israel community in this country" less than a week before the annual Washington meeting of AIPAC , the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. This was not an interview designed to warn Iran of the consequences of proceeding down a nuclear weapons acquisition track. This read more like a combination of assurances to the American Jewish community that Obama was a serious national security hawk on Iran during an election year.

The faces, stories and skills of the Africans who guided me, fed me and strained mightily to teach me a little something are indelible in my memory and already missed. First among them is guide and tracker Richard Avilino, the all-purpose human Swiss Army knife. Encyclopedic and seasoned but still sharing the excitement of each animal sighting, his mastery of place proved a daily marvel. Richard Avilino is a tourist guide, animal tracker, species identifier, off-road driver, auto mechanic, multi-tongued speaker and last, but not least, mixologist. http://www.onemansafari.blogspot.com/

This kills me… GMail’s much-discussed , much-maligned context-targeted banner ads don’t have a lot of message text to target within my GMail account’s typically empty “Spam” mailbox, so all the ads are for Spam recipes! One thought was unmistakably on everyone’s mind as they strolled around AT&T’s reception at Web 2.0, with a premium drink in one hand and a plate full of high-concept snacks in the other, like Gazpacho Shrimp Shooters, or Dungeoness Crab Tataki on Nori Chips, or Ahi Tuna Tartare with Ginger and Lime, or Wasabi Mashed Potatoes with Sesame Grilled Salmon, Crispy Leeks, and Black Caviar (served in a martini glass), while Zigaboo Modeliste ’s Aahkesstra jammed onstage and the entertainment budget had room not only for a photographer but a flash guy to follow him around. Robert Kaye of MusicBrainz , eyeing the spread with some amazement, summed it up: “is it just me… or is the Internet boom back?” http://debris.com/journal/web/p2

At an L.A. concert by her boyfriend Cisco Adler's band Whitestarr, Kimberly Stewart (Rod's daughter) and pal Paris Hilton ducked into a stall in the ladies room, prompting an impatient woman in line to yell, "At least save some for us!" When Paris finally emerged, one bladder-bursting babe relieved herself in a sink. "You dirty b---h!" Paris yelped. http://lawrenkmills.mu.nu/archives/2005_03.php

I will be designing Chrome in such a way that in future, ordinary users who use computers for basic functions like listed above, will only need to buy a LCD monitor(or even use TVs) and a keyboard and of course an Internet connection. They will be able to use a USB flash drive loaded with Chrome and plug-in the USB in the keyboard and start browsing/chatting/emailing e.t.c
