I have always wanted to make donuts at home but the thought of deep frying is quite a put off, all that grease and oil filling up the kitchen with our crappy ventilator ain’t cool. Instead I found a baked donut recipe that is much easier to make. Well its more like a cake donut rather than a fluffy yeast donut. And of course it has none of that grease and I would like to believe a little healthier than then the real deal. Borrowed this donut form pan from the Mother-in-law. Make sure to grease them real well if you are using a donut form pan or they will be a pain to remove.

The recipe said to butter the donuts, so that the cinnamon sugar will stick to the donuts.

We’ve started turning off the air conditioner at night and cracking the windows to let the natural cool air in. And surprisingly, yesterday morning I woke up a little chilly. I got up at 6 to go for a run and it was so much colder (and darker) than what I’ve been used to all summer. By the end of my run I was hot and sweaty, but this spiced vanilla pear oatmeal was a beautiful thing to come home to. No, my husband didn’t make me breakfast.…..my crock pot did. It’s the perfect breakfast for the brisk fall mornings, and even better for those frigid winter mornings to come.

However, another post about these delicious fluffy-breakfast-balls won’t hurt. Right? On my birthday, a few months ago, one of my dear friends made me aebelskivers for breakfast. I was more than happy because they have been a personal favorite of mine my whole life. But, she added jelly to the inside of the them. Anyway, they were delicious!!
