The Ultimate FW Board Tuning Guide | CarbonSugar.com - The Secrets of High Performance Windsurfing. In late 2007, the IFWC elected to lock the registration of Formula Boards for 2 years, meaning we’d all be riding the same boards in 2009 as we had been in 2008. Now, after a full season on the current boards, there exists an unprecedented opportunity to have your board ‘already’ dialled in for the new 2009 season. So, in order to help you to go faster, here at CarbonSugar we’ve asked some of the sports’ top professional FW sailors, to share their settings and opinions on the boards they are riding in both 2008 and 2009.

Coupled with precise measurements and some inside information about the development of each board, here we present the most comprehensive current formula board tuning guide available anywhere on the internet; everything from mast-track, footstrap and boom positions, to recommended fins and cutout plate strategies. Enjoy! There were 8 boards registered with ISAF for use on the FW circuit. The riders interviewed for this tuning guide include: Starboard F162 / FWOD {column2} Webcam - Association Aytre Funboard. La Couarde. WINDSURF TEAM ANGOULINS. Whitelion Windsurfing. I recently started wearing a heart rate monitor as I have always been interested in how intense a workout you get from various sporting activities.

The primary use for my heart rate monitor(garmin 310XT) in my twice a week ride to and from work. I live in the hills and work on the plains and so it only takes me 25 minutes to get to work. Getting home is another story, it takes 50-60 minutes with the last 25 up the hill that I live on. I like this part of the ride best as it is a real mental game - do I push harder or keep a little in the tank for later. I have found that the cycling has been great for my knees as being tall, they have always been a bit loose and rattley. One of the main features I wanted when shopping for heart rate monitors was that I wanted a waterproof, not water resistant unit. Garmin 310Xt with Wireless USB receiver. Charging Terminals. Anaerobic sailing: Garmin Training Center Software. Kashy Fins - Enjoy The Ride. Z-fins - home of the best formula and slalom windsurfing fins! - Home. Windsurfing Tour.com |
