Remove Carbon Pollution from atmosphere

5 Ways to Remove Carbon Pollution from atmosphere

Since the start of industrial revolution, humans have emitted huge volume of Carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Smoke rising from the chimneys and exponential increase of automobiles on motorways burning gasoline, the notion of reducing carbon footprints is not an easy task. Due to increased importance of environment protection, students are given assignments to write free essays on reducing carbon footprints. Students either research the topic for digging into the facts or hire a writer to write my essay free online.

Reducing carbon dioxide from the environment can be accomplished by a concerted global effort by involving all the countries. Here are five ways which can help in lowering Carbon pollution from the environment.

  • Plant more Trees on Earth

To address the food requirement of increasing population of the world, humans spree of deforestation for cultivating crops have deprived the world from consumers of carbon dioxide. Trees are very efficient in consuming CO2 as compare to crops. The green leaves of the trees have a green pigment known as chlorophyll. This pigment uses CO2 and sunlight to manufacture plant food. Recent rise in CO2 levels is also attributed to the cutting of trees. Tree plantation can be accomplished by the collaboration of both governments and their people to reduce CO2 levels in the atmosphere.

  • Direct Scrubbing Carbon dioxide from Air

Research has been carried to capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by the use of technology. This technology has utilized the concepts from carbon capture projects in the industries. These machines use chemicals that form bond with CO2 molecule which is later extracted for other use. Companies like Climeworks and Carbon Engineering have developed machines to accomplish this task. To capture carbon dioxide directly, thousands of machines can be placed at distant places to filter the air.

  • Spraying Nutrients in the Ocean

Phytoplankton are microscopic organisms which inhabit both fresh water and salt water environment. Their consumption of carbon dioxide scale is equivalent to those of forests and land plants. They also have chlorophyll which uses CO2 for photosynthesis. When they die, they settled to the sea floor taking CO2 with them where it is transferred to other layers. Spraying of nutrients in the atmosphere which can stimulate the growth of Phytoplankton can contribute a lot to the reduction of CO2 from the atmosphere.

  • Reducing CO2 Emissions

Use of renewable source of energy like solar and Wind power will reduce the need of using Fossil Fuels. Use of electric and sustainable mode of production will effectively reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

  • CO2 at Farms

Extensive farming reduces the amount of CO2 in the soil. Using compost in the farms when they are bare can help in maintaining a healthy volume of CO2 in the ground. Thus it will not reach the external atmosphere.
