MesaDelTiempo for The Toy Museum of San Isidro | Ubi interactive. The Kinect Accelerator. Want to know more what the Microsoft accelerator is like? Check out the journey from the Kinect class Freak'n Genius CEO, Kyle Kesterson, and CTO, Dwayne Mercredi, describe how their YAKiT application uses Kinect for Windows skeletal tracking to create fun animations in real time. With Kinect for Windows, a limited webcam app becomes a premium avateering solution with the ability to animate a character with fully articulated joints and limbs. Their application is currently used in classrooms, nutrition education, playing, and storytelling. Ravi Komatireddy, co-founder and chief medical officer at Reflexion Health (in San Diego), explains how Reflexion Health's solution uses Kinect for Windows to transform physical therapy. By tracking a patient's range of motion and other clinical data, clinicians can engage with patients and provide them with real-time feedback as they perform their exercises at home.

The Kinect Accelerator is complete: The Kinect is open for business: Ubi turns any wall into a touchscreen using Microsoft’s Kinect. "We can turn any surface into a 3D touchscreen," explained Anup Chathoth, one third of Munich-based startup Ubi Interactive. Such claims typically conjure up images of floating Minority Report-style touchscreens made from curved glass, but that's exactly what this three-person team has developed.

Ubi's system uses a Microsoft Kinect sensor to turn a regular projector into a multi-touch PC projection system, where regular PowerPoints, web pages, even games no longer require clickers or wireless mice to be navigated. By using the motion-tracking and depth-perception cameras in the Kinect, Ubi is able to detect where a user is pointing, swiping and tapping on a surface and interpret these gestures as if they were being performed on a giant touchscreen or interactive whiteboard. All well and good in principle, but does it actually work? Wired.co.uk visited Ubi Interactive at Microsoft's Westlake offices in Seattle this week for a hands-on demonstration. Universal compatibility History. What we do. There we were, back in 2001, standing in the High Street.

The shop was shut. It would've been so nice to find out more about the store. It hit us there and then. Businesses shouldn't be putting up barriers to sales. In fact, they should be encouraging us to find out more about their products and services. That’s why we did the obvious thing, we decided to design, develop, and manufacture touchfoils in large format sizes from 30” to 167” corner to corner. They can be fitted, and even retrofitted, to a range of display screens and work through any non-metallic surface. Our specialist partners from around the world, will combine our touchfoils with these displays to build you an interactive display screen solution that meets your individual requirements.
