the Dam Square A careful analysis of existing conditions were completed to understand what needed to be done to improve this historic European square. The approach for the square’s redesign was to restructure and reorganize the different elements, exaggerate what is currently working successfully, and create a new entrance to the square by making larger urban connections to the new metro line.
