Over the weekend, I got the urge to add some color to Pugly Pixel, like a touch of hot pink or bright yellow or something that would give it a jolt of life. This impulse was the result of admiring Anna Dorfman’s blog makeover of Alix’s gorgeous site, Cute and Delicious . Anna added just enough to color to break free from the uniformity of the minimalist look. So I tried and tried to find the right/bright/happy/neon colors to perk up my blog and yet have a color scheme that would complement the images in my current posts. But alas, every color took over the site and clashed with my images!

Yes, I'm in India again!! To be honest, I'm really hard working, but I found some really interesting new things here... The masks and the toys are so beautiful, the shape, the colors and the smart materials! What do you think? Do I have a shifted designview....?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the color blue. In my work studio, I have lots of bright colors set against a white, neutral background because it inspires me to mix in color according to my mood, removing those that may not be particularly rockin’ my world at the moment. Currently, I have lots of yellow, orange, red and pink in my studio but a few days ago a more moody mix of emeralds and indigos started to creep in.

Je ne sais pas pourquoi, quand je me suis dit que j’allais poster quelques photos pour vous souhaiter une douce et heureuse année, ces photos me sont venues à l’esprit comme une évidence. Parce que quoi de mieux qu’un ciel bleu et radieux, qu’un avion dans le ciel, qu’un transat et du sable (j’ose à peine l’écrire : un transat et du sable !!!!!), et de battements d’ailes de goélands pour s’évader et rêvasser agréablement à ce que sera cette nouvelle année ?
