I think we have officially moved past the point of pleasantries between candidates, and they’re taking swings left and right.

I’m a little embarrassed about some of the behavior going on. I mean, I know the blows are getting lower, and tensions are high, but it’s starting to look like a schoolyard in these debates. Multiple times, candidates interrupted each other. This ended up creating a sort of yelling competition at least three times during the debate. The debate started with a pelting on Herman Cain. Unfortunately, my previous “Man with a plan” is getting kicked in the shins about said plan. When it comes to Rick Perry, it looks like he’s a sinking ship. Perry started off the debate with an unnecessary intensity saying, “I’m an authentic conservative, not a conservative of convenience.” Perry was also the cause of one of the arguments on stage at the debate. Romney, however, took his beatings pretty well I think. Consider it a favor to all of us who are hopelessly hooked on “Dancing with the Real Candidates of the GOP,” otherwise known as the 2012 Republican presidential debates. No network programmer could have invented a TV series with such pop. There have already been 10 (!) Of these nationally televised spectacles — entertainment gifts that just keep on giving. No wonder Republicans tell pollsters they like Herman Cain: they don’t want him voted off the show.

And there are at least 13 (!) Don’t you just plotz when Newt Gingrich tells the moderators how stupid they are? The GOP should get a toy duck like on Groucho Marx’s old show that drops down whenever someone says the secret word. Just watching them is captivating.
