Hello all, I'm Elena Moon Park, and along with all-ages musician Dan Zanes and his label Festival Five Records, I will be recording an album of reinterpreted folk and children's songs from East Asia. It's an album we've been wanting to make for years. We are trying something new with this album: that is to appeal directly to our listeners, supporters, friends and peers to make it happen.

Despite the violence that rages throughout Ciudad Juarez, scores of artist collectives around the city continue to create art, engage youth, and improve the lives of people in their communities. Conectarte: 10 Years of Collectives and Communities in Juarez is an unprecedented attempt to gather and celebrate the experience of these artist collectives. It has been organized by a group of artists and activists from Ciudad Juarez and El Paso and will take place April 8th and 9th on the campus of the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez. The conference includes multimedia presentations by artist groups from around the city and an exhibition and interchange of art and ideas between the collectives. David Flores of Colectivo REZIZTE, will present a recent history of artist collectives in Ciudad Juarez, from 2000-the present, looking at shared successes and challenges for the future.Pioneer One (2010)
