For me, one of those foods is eggs. Anybody who reads this blog for more than three or four posts will be aware of my enormous love and veneration for the omelet recipe from Vegan Brunch.

Half of the curry mix is mixed together with the rice, and the rest is put on top of the rice. The salad is very easy to make, so this bento only takes up to 10 minutes to assemble, provided you have the dry curry mix pre-made and stashed in the freezer. This bento is packed with vegetables (chopped up in the curry as well as the salad and the broccoli) and is high in fiber, so it’s very filling. Meal Plan Monday | Bebe Love Okazu. I’ve been hesitant to post my meal plans in the past. I’m not sure why that it is. Perhaps it’s because I like to plan, but I don’t always stick to the plan. Which is O.K., too. Sometimes meals get pushed a few days or I’ll switch things around depending on my mood and any last minute life things that pop-up. Usually, however, when I stick to my weekly plan, it really makes my life easier.

I usually take about 10 minutes on Sunday or Monday to jot down my meal plan for the week in my trusty Hello Kitty pocket notebook (showcased proudly above). Compliments of the Dollar Spot at Target. Brown rice porridge with azuki beans (azuki iri genmai gayu) Kayu (or okayu to use the honorific term) is a simple rice porridge, made from rice, water and a few other ingredients. When Japanese people feel sick, or they feel they’ve overeaten, they often turn to a bowl of kayu. It’s the answer to overfeasting, overdrinking, and general over-indulging. Kayu is related to congee and jook (or juk in Korean) - and loosely related to rice pudding and even risotto. All rice based food cultures have some kind of rice porridge.
