Curriculum - Bealings School. HOW we are learning is as important as WHAT we are learning and we want that learning to be engaging, enjoyable and meaningful! EVERYONE, children and adults, in our school community is a learner the atmosphere which fosters the most effective learning to be a relaxed and happy one where we are also absorbed in tasks which are relevant to our needs We believe in making mistakes! It’s OK! This is a learning place!
It is often best to learn in a realistic context where there are valid REASONS for learning new skills and concepts We will begin from WHERE the CHILDREN are in their understanding and design activities based on THE CHILD’S POINT OF VIEW (how do they view the world, what is important to them?) The children are encouraged to take on responsibility for their own learning All the usual subject matter is taught in a variety of ways. Religious Education is based on the Suffolk Agreed Syllabus. At Bealings we also teach French each week to all children from Reception to Year 6. PE Initiative. Our Approach | Puget Sound Community School. PSCS students often pass through a series of stages, starting with a feeling of euphoria when they first enroll. Students are excited by the promise of spending their days pursuing activities that give them joy, and the thrill of being surrounded by an extraordinary group of teachers.
For some students, this can fade into boredom. We often say that PSCS is the easiest school you’ll ever attend because no one is telling you what to do. It’s also the hardest school, because no one is telling you what to do. The job of the teaching staff is to not solve a student’s boredom problem. Students then often engage passionately in the endless academic and social opportunities available, and even begin leading new activities that they create.
The curriculum at PSCS is responsibility, and the goal for our graduates is maturity. Hug It Forward | Bottle Schools. Leaders on Bottle School Projects | Manifest Foundation. It became well known through a series of books called ‘The Ringing Cedars Series’. In it the author describes his trip to the school and is mesmerized by the magic and wonder in the children’s eyes. Students attend this school from the age of 8 up to 18. It is a boarding school and they all work together to support each other in their environment. They take turns to do the kitchen, they do the cleaning, help in the office and they teach each other. The students show an immense amount of love for others, they are incredibly caring and very polite.
