Ma petite archive midi. Un fichier midi stocke la musique comme une succession de notes, de façon analogue à une partition.
A la lecture, l'ordinateur fonctionne comme un synthétiseur qui reproduit ces notes. La qualité sonore est donc limitée, laissant peu de place à l'interprétation. En contrepartie, une fichier midi est généralement de petite taille, peut être créé à partir d'une partition, et peut facilement être manipulé, consistuant ainsi un excellent outil de déchiffrage pour les choristes non lecteurs. Mes fichiers midi contiennent l'ensemble des voix du choeur ainsi que l'accompagnement, chaque voix étant interprétée par un instrument spécifique.
Dans chaque fichier midi, une voix a été renforcée et isolée sur le canal stéréo de droite, les autres voix étant reportées sur le canal de gauche. La plupart des ordinateurs lisent directement les fichiers midi (il suffit de cliquer). Pour mieux les exploiter, j'utilise trois logiciels gratuits (il en existe d'autres):
