Lor Me Domestic: Drawer Tower Cart Slipcover {Part 2} I've been hard at work finishing revamping my drawer tower cart and I'm finally ready to show you the FINAL results!

If you haven't seen part 1 where I revamped the drawers, I suggest you do that first ;) This was actually my very first sewing project with my very own sewing machine I got 2 Christmas' ago. Yeah, I know, about time I took that baby out for a spin hehe. You ready to see the finished product? Here it is: click any image to enlarge with the lightbox I'm so happy about the outcome! The slipcover itself is really easy to make. I got the fabric on sale 3 meters for the price of 1! Have I ever mentioned I'm a slow crafter? I pinned the sides on the next evening, that took an other half hour. Also, since it was the first time using my sewing machine, I wanted to read the entire manual first. Once I did start sewing, it took less than 2 hours to finish everything. I found the best way to do it was to sew the 3 pieces together side by side, and then sew their combine lengths. Last week I got the itch.

Not a rash. An itch to do something. To DIY. To project. To organize. And so I challenged myself along with you, to do some organizing and beautifying. I am pretty gosh darn excited about the outcome of my project! We have this fabulous piece of Craigslist furniture sitting in our playroom. Nope, for this project I didn't paint it, but that is next on the list. Yep, a pair of boxes. Not so much. Here are some of the supplies I used to spruce them up a bit: FabricCraft Knife or ScissorsSpray AdhesiveYard StickCotton CordGrommetsEmpty Boxes I have a bit of a color scheme going in the playroom which is green and turquoise, so to cover the boxes I stuck with fabric in those colors. The boxes I selected were equal size and 15" squares {a super sized bin!}. I used the yard stick to measure A LOT and draw straight lines on the back side of the fabric for all of my cuts: Then I cut two long strips of fabric to wrap along the inside.
