Le titre de ce livre éclaire la vision de Langer par rapport au sens de faire la paix : il n’est pas un pacifisme « supporteur », pleuré et récité, plein de manifestations et de slogans mais faible sur l’analyse, le contenu, les propositions, et il n’est même pas un pacifisme « dogmatique », incapable de concilier les principes de médiation et de discours a priori . Langer a demandé et pratiqué dans son histoire politique et personnelle un pacifisme concret, avec des partenaires concrets , pour faire vivre et développer – malgré des conditions changées et devenues plus complexes – l’idée de la coexistence, de la coopération, de la reconstruction des relations .

The 6th WVS wave The World Values Survey Association is carrying out a new wave of surveys during 2011-2012. This wave will cover at least 50 countries, but funding decisions are still pending for a number of additional countries.

WikiLeaks released audio recordings of Perupetro Vice President Alberto Quimper and Romulo León Alegría, a prominent member of Garcia’s ruling Aprista party, discussing under-the-table payments conditioned on Discover Petroleum obtaining oil exploration concessions. According to the recordings, Quimper, Leon and Ernesto Arias-Schreiber, the legal representative of Discover in Peru, were to receive $10,000 monthly in exchange for steering lucrative oil contracts to the Norwegian oil exploration firm. The scandal, dubbed “petrogate,” led the government to suspend five joint exploration and development contracts recently awarded to Discover Petroleum and state-owned oil company Petroperu.
