Sometime last year, I found a hardbound Marvel Comics book on my desk. No dust jacket, but the book itself was embossed with the Avengers logo and the words Young Avengers, and I had no idea who left it there. My officemate Krizette told me that she found it in her house and that she knew I was a fan of the Marvel Now series relaunch (not that she knew that it was called that), so she thought I should have it.
Because I’m the most gullible person on the planet, I actually believed this story…until my friend Ramon de Veyra told me that he left it on my desk care of Esquire’s managing editor Jonty Cruz because he thought I might like to read it. Ugh, Krizette strikes again! I absolutely loved the book, and it was so great to gain a better understanding of the characters I was only just getting to know in the reboot (well, less a reboot more a continuation?).
