This page lists a collection of resources to support the teaching and learning of Numeracy/maths for adults: Numeracy Starter Kit The numeracy starter kit signposts providers to some of the wide range of resources to support all aspects of numeracy development and delivery. Numeracy Core Curriculum The Core Curriculum describes the content of what should be taught in literacy, numeracy, ESOL and pre-entry programmes and sets out a clear set of skills required to meet national standards. This interactive site enables teachers to search and explore the adult Numeracy Core Curriculum. Numeracy teaching and learning materials Nationally-developed materials that will continue to be of use to teachers. Numeracy interactive learning materials There are 49 interactive files, covering a selection of numeracy skills - number, measures, shape and space and handling data - from Milestone 8 of the Pre-entry through the Entry levels to Levels 1 and 2.

Level 3 Award in Mathematics for Numeracy Teaching Blended learning materials These blended learning materials have been developed to support organisations delivering the Level 3 Award in Mathematics for Numeracy Teaching, as well as to support and prepare candidates on such programmes. The Level 3 award has been developed to meet the criteria for entry to specialist mathematics (numeracy) teacher training in the lifelong learning sector.

The materials form a programme of work supporting candidates working towards the award, and are intended to be used flexibly. Organisations may wish to add their own materials, include a greater or lesser amount of direct teaching and distance learning, according to the needs of their candidates. Please note that some of these materials were revised in July 2013 and now include answers.
