CeBIT Australia - the No.1 Business Technology Exhibition, held on 5-7 May 2014 in Sydney, Australia. ITIL® Home. Corporate Governance. IAG’s corporate governance structure and risk management framework is designed to provide a sustainable balance between its core operating purpose (to pay claims, understand and price risk, manage costs and reduce risk) and its responsibility to provide fair and stable returns to shareholders. The key corporate governance practices followed by the Group and its people are summarised below. It is not an exhaustive list of all corporate governance practices in place. Copies of IAG’s Board and Board Committee charters and key corporate governance policies can be found on IAG’s website at www.iag.com.au. International During the past year, the Group’s corporate governance framework has continued to evolve in response to changes in its operations and as a result of the Group’s international expansion.

Corporate Governance Models - Words to understand - Corporate governance - Hera Group. Corporate governance is the set of company tools, rules, relations, processes and systems designed for the fair and efficient management of the enterprise, meant as a compensation system among the potentially divergent interests of the minority shareholders, the controlling shareholders, and the directors of a company. Hence the corporate governance structure expresses the rules and processes for company decision-making, the procedures for setting the company's objectives, and the means for attaining and measuring the results achieved. There several different governance models, depending on the degree of capitalism in which the company operates. The liberal model, typical of the English-speaking countries, gives priority to shareholders’ interests.

The model prevalent in continental Europe and Japan also recognizes the interests of the workers, managers, suppliers, customers, and society. Usually three different corporate governance systems are distinguished for joint-stock companies. COBIT 5 - Governance. The Many Faces of IT Governance: Crafting an IT Governance Architecture. Information technology (IT) governance is moving more and more into the limelight as a means to improve IT performance, deliver optimum business value and ensure regulatory compliance. The key practices in support of these goals are strategic alignment, IT asset and resource management, IT investment and portfolio management, risk management and sustained operational excellence.

Interest has evolved from a compelling argument into a focus on pragmatics: what approach and leading practice framework(s) should be used and how should IT governance be tailored to meet the needs of an organization? As is true with many initiatives, misdirected enthusiasm during the early stages of an IT governance implementation project can easily lead to the proverbial “ready, fire, aim” scenario. Establishing an IT governance program can be characterized as a blend of systematic process analysis coupled with aspects of behavioral science. The IT Governance Reference Model Affinity With the Business Model. Storitve. IT Governance Kakovostne IT storitve so postale izjemno pomemben člen pri uspešnem upravljanju organizacije.

Svetujemo iz različnih pristopov k projektnemu vodenju: - Tradicionalno projektno vodenje - Ekstremno projektno vodenje - PRINCE2 - Procesno (agilno) projektno vodenje Upravljanje poslovnih procesov Informacijska varnost.

A holistic model of corporate governance: a new research framework. Technology Governance in a Simple Model - Enterprise Architecture in Higher Education. I talked about a governance model that has evolved over the past 5 years in our organization in many previous posts. I realize now that I have not actually explained the model, so here we go! When we received approval to proceed with a strategic initiative to leverage technology to support teaching, learning, research and the business of BCIT, our VP Chris Golding came up with a simple governance model to guide technology adoption.

The model has 3 axes – Funding, Support and Impact. The scale for the axes range from centralized to decentralized. Let me give you some definitions before we look at the model. I am sure there are many other scales we could describe for this model but there is an elegance in these 3 simple descriptors. Funding – describes where the funding is coming from on a continum of centralized (we are a centralized IT organization) to decentralized.

Now that we have the axes described, it’s time to think about how they combine to form governance categories. Business Process Management. A critical success factor is commonly defined as a factor that ‘has to go right’ to ensure success in achieving a certain goal. Initially defined by Ronald Daniel from McKinsey in the early 60s and later famously refined by Jack Rockart from the Sloan School of Management in the late 80s, critical success factors studies have become a popular item of investigation not only for Information Systems researchers, but also for analysts, vendors and users. Typically the outcomes of these studies are presented in a top ten list in descending order based on their importance. They provide the audience with a sense of relevance for how to channel energy in the domain under study.

In the context of Business Process Management, we have to distinguish multiple layers of critical success factors (see Figure 1 below). First, there is a set of factors that constitute success of BPM as a corporate management discipline (layer 1). There are a number of previous studies that explored BPM success factors.
