Victor Bregeda | Time Travelors

The main color in this painting is green. It's the color of nature, of pure waters; in psychoanalysis, this color is a color of sexual force, and love and it reflects a man's need of development. In Chinese traditions, the forest corresponds with the East, with springtime, with green color, with love, with roaring thunder, awakening of the masculine cosmic energy Yang and start of his rebirth. The rain, pouring out of storm clouds symbolizes both Water (Yin) and Fire-lightning (Yang). The dancing figures of a man and a woman allegorically explain the main meaning of the painting. http://www.bregeda.com/timetravelors_.html
"redhead in a formal dress" 18 x 28 inches acrylic on canvas private collection A really beautiful painting of a red haired woman with rich color and abstract curves. The photo does not even come close to the actual color. This is one of my favorites.

Unfortunately there are no standards to control such claims, and many of these products are good for little else than temporary decorations. This guide is designed to unravel the hype and give the artist and art student the facts to enable them to choose a suitable canvas for their needs. The canvas, and its priming, is the foundation of a painting. A wise tradesman would not contemplate building a house on inferior, unstable foundations; likewise an artist should be just as selective about the canvas they use. There is no evidence that artists of the past were more affluent than those of the present, but there is plenty of proof that they never tried to effect economies at the expense of quality. http://www.artspectrum.com.au/canvas.html
