Ftw.generation.no. Peter Pan's Home Page! Hello and welcome to my Home page! I created this site in late 2000 to share a little about myself with friends, both old and new. While I don't update the text of this main page very often, the site continues to mushroom and grow out in all directions. It is, by design, arranged more like a treasure hunt than a traditional website, with links scattered all over. So if you believe you've seen all of it, you likely have NOT! Now I must confess at the outset that this certainly qualifies as a "vanity page", being full of graphics and text about me!

Well after all, Peter Pan is a character that has always been known for vanity. But really, this has never been my main intent! I also started this site so that Tinkerbell would have an easier time finding me, and I'm very happy to report that she has!! In fact, you'll find links to Our Fairy Wedding scattered all about the site! Of course life is not a game, and I do strive to continually grow in emotional, spiritual, and mental maturity. . . Also no great secret is that Wikipedia has seen many forms of vandalism.

Occasionally, an edit falls into both categories: it is vandalism, needing to be reverted, but it is also creative, and some Wikipedians find it entertaining. For many years, the bits of vandalism and/or fun that struck people's fancy were kept here on a page called "Bad Jokes and Other Deleted Nonsense", or "BJAODN". In fact, it was one of the oldest pages on Wikipedia, having been created some time before January 26, 2001. We need a page where bad jokes and other deleted nonsense can rest in peace.

However, in 2007, consensus (sort of) shifted against keeping most BJAODN on Wikipedia (see Wikipedia talk:Silly Things), and it came to be viewed by many as encouraging vandalism. Let's Bible. Jamaican tour guide. 'Don't Copy that Floppy!' Hilarious PSA from 1992 with a rapper singing “Don’t Copy that Floppy!” Get ready to hit the floor laughing. I about fell out of my chair laughing when I saw this PSA direct from 1992, not only because it reminded me about how cheesy we used to dress, but also how funny it is that the argument is the same now as it was back then. What’s strange is to think of how much different things were back then, a time before the internet, if you can imagine it, and before P2P and file-sharing services like BitTorrent. Even without P2P apparently illegal “file-copying” was a big concern, which makes me wonder what they would’ve thought if you told them about how the world would be in the year 2007. In any event, here’s the PSA video, be prepared to laugh.
