DIY Wedding and Party Ideas

Earlier this year, we started seeing this paper folding technique used in many different ways. From pretty photography backdrops to hanging mobiles to ornaments…the uses for these little fans are endless. The best part? You can make them any size you want to fit your specific needs. We’ve made them small in order to use them as place cards, adding a little pizazz to our tabletop decor. – Bailey and Emma of Antiquaria The paper pattern and colors you use can yield so many different looks, making it easy to customize them to the theme of your event!

Step One: To make the small fans, you will need to cut a sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ text paper into two equal parts (we used our Lucy Floral Patterned Paper). Step Two: Lay the paper on a scoreboard oriented in a landscape fashion. Step Three: Once the paper is scored, fold along the lines, altering directions each time, to get the accordion effect shown. Friendship Cords

Well the days of summer camp are long gone but colorful crafting materials are still around and, today, bring a little bit of color to our computer cords, phone chargers, and headphones. (This project would also be great for our Electric Cord Jumprope!) Materials: - cords (computer, phone, headphones, anything) - embroidery floss - yarn - scissors - optional: tape Our first method is for an iPhone charger. The second option is to use yarn, preferably in a gradient (you know we love it).

And our third is one that is for one of those really rainy Sundays when you want to park yourself in front of the TV and make knots all day. 25 Party Printable Sources. Hello again, Sugar Bee readers!

Here’s the lowdown on the project that I hosted at our recent Craft With The Bloggers event. I have been wearing these crazy little poms all over town — in my hair, on my jacket, pinned to a handbag, you name it. If you’d like to make your own, gather your materials: a strip of organza fabric (For a large pom: 6″ x 2 yards. MarySew » How To: Make a Steampunk/Burlesque Fascinator Hat. Hey everyone!

MarySew » How To: Make a Steampunk/Burlesque Fascinator Hat

I made myself a pretty fascinator hat today for my Steampunk outfit on Friday. I thought you might be interested in how I did it, so here is my How To for you :) I will wear my hair up and wear the hat to the side. The hats - Girl. Inspired. Okay!

This is the last of the Tea Party details and I’m getting anxious to show you some of the new things I’ve been working on, but since I know you want to make some of these hats just. for. fun., I’m sharing some close-ups and a little photo step-by-step. The supplies I used included: felt, tulle, pearls, feathers, silk flowers, flower ribbon, plain headbands, and some pieces off a feather boa. Basically, I just started with a piece of tulle and tied or fluffed it into something “big.” Then, holding it in my hand, I started grouping some flowers and/or feathers around it. When I thought I had a grouping I liked, I hot glued it into place on a small square of felt. For Addie’s hat, I glued strips of flower ribbon onto a circle of felt, then glued elastic to the bottom, with the ends meeting in the center of the felt circle bottom, and then covered the elastic ends with a backing of felt.

Here’s a closer look at some of the other hats we wore: Little Girl's Birdcage Tutorial. Last week I made some of these for our girls.

And I love them. Practical? Not really. But I say who cares! Crafts. Diy party.

FIESTA DIY PUNTITOS / MINI DOT DIY PARTY.
