Knitted Bunnies « Jo so and sew
This bunny is so simple as it is made from a knitted square – any size is fine. (This one is in 8ply wool on 4mm needles and 28 stitches across.) With the same coloured wool (I have used contrasting wool here so you can see more clearly) and a very big running stitch – stitch across the middle of the square (fold in half if you want to be accurate.) Make sure you have a secure knot at the end as the thread will be pulled later.Quick Cable Slouch Hat
This is a pattern I had made to teach my student how to make her first cabled hat, so I made sure it was not intimidating. Very quick to knit, so great for gifts. I have used a bulky alpaca yarn so it had a fair drape and a pom-pom was too heavy, but it may work better if you use wool. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ *Note* I have originally posted and recommended size #10 needles for the body, but it seems like many people have been getting a less slouchy result. If you want to get a slouchy hat for sure, it might be better to use size #11 for the body. I don't have a specific gauge, but the fabric for the main body should be somewhat loose and have a bit of a drape.I am growing my hair a bit longer, and have taken to putting it in a short ponytail when busy working on my stuff. I like the look of those skinny headbands, especially when worn in twos or threes. I bought some in the past but found they were SO tight, they slipped back and hurt my head! So I dove into my stash and found some leftover Esprit (cotton with lycra stretch) in black. The pattern is easy:
Quick I-Cord Headband
Designed by solmama April 2009 After knitting Mimi Davis’ One Row Blanket De La Harlot and finding out that a good number of my friends have babies on the way, I was inspired to write my own baby blanket pattern. I wanted an easy stitch pattern to remember that looked pretty with both solid and variegated yarns, so I looked at all of the beautiful ravelry FOs for my Slide Step Rib Cloth . This blanket pattern was born. Knit by my fantastic test knitter and editor Anne
