On Wednesday, I was kidnapped. Yes, it’s true. Right in the middle of class, someone swooped in and transported me off to this alternate universe called “Fourier space”. It was the land where everything I apparently did not learn in my college differential equations class went to die. There were all sorts of weird symbols and these strange functions called “transforms”. And, just to give you an idea, it’s the type of place where “it is convenient to write things as complex (i.e. imaginary) numbers”. Yeah, that’s totally a direct quote.
