Crochet projects. Anthropologie knock off vintage lace bracelet. The prettiness from Monday and yesterday continues today with a little anthro-inspired bracelet tutorial.

anthropologie knock off vintage lace bracelet

In a word, lovely. The lace-and-pearls embroidered on vintage lace is just loveliness. The idea came from Anthropologie (shocker, right?). For Jord’s birthday, I was wanting to give her a present that was lightweight (read- easily packed), and just pretty. The Scalloped Spirea Bracelet fit the bill perfectly. You’ll need--two lengths of 6″x2″ ribbon or lace for the base and the backing (doesn’t have to be vintage, it gets covered)-enough vintage lace/trim to cover the your ‘base’ (see above)-extra lace/trim to tie-embroidery thread-invisible thread-beads, pearls, etc. for embellishing. DIY Infinity Travel Scarf. DIY Napkin Paper Ballerina. I came across this cute idea to make napkin paper ballerina from Stariy Chemodan’s blog and would like to share it with you.

Hello blog world!

Double Sided Fabric Headband Pattern

It’s been a busy weekend! I hope all you Americans had a fabulous 4th of July. We had friends stay with us, a cookout, and my friends even had a baby shower for me. All the hustle and bustle really took a toll on my body though. I’m packing my hospital bag tonight because last night I thought we might be making an early trip (still a few weeks to go….but you never know). I have this list of “blog” things I’m trying to finish up before baby E comes, so let’s see how I do.

Easy Pillowcase Skirt Tutorial – Skirting The Issue. Have you ever sewn for a charity project?

Easy Pillowcase Skirt Tutorial – Skirting The Issue

If not, you should try it! The Skirting The Issue Project created by the ladies at Simple Simon & Co. is a perfect opportunity to join a communal sewing effort to make skirts for foster girls to wear for back to school. Today I am sharing a very easy pillowcase skirt that only took me thirty minutes to make. it’s a perfect project to make several of. If you would like to join in and sew a skirt to send to a foster girl who needs back to school clothing, here is the post at Simple Simon with all of the details. The skirt only has two seams since the hem is already built into the pillowcase. This is probably the simplest tutorial I’ve written, and it;s a great project for beginner sewists.

To follow the tutorial for the pillowcase skirt, just read the instructions on the photos below. And some optional trim to sew onto the skirt hem when you are done. Well, that’s it! Easy DIY maxi dress with just one seam! 5 Minute Infinity Scarf.
