Like many others , I was disappointed by how Walter Isaacson’s official biography of Steve Jobs turned out . With the kind of access that Isaacson had to Jobs’ information, photos, close friends and colleagues, in my opinion, the author should have tried to linger less on the personal reasons that led Steve to walk barefoot around campus, and more on the ideas that shaped the great businessman and inventor that he was. Steve Jobs was a polyhedric figure, and Isaacson tried to capture the “facts” of his life by focusing on several of his “passions” and “flaws” while, unfortunately, getting many of the facts that helped Apple become the company it is today simply wrong.

Today MacMan updated Chimera to version 1.9. The most exciting change is the addition of a new bit of GraphicsEnabler code from the Chameleon team to enable multiple NVIDIA graphics cards without any extra DSDT edits necessary! He's also added support for Intel's soon to be released Ivy Bridge CPUs and GraphicsEnabler detection for NVIDIA's new GeForce GTX 680. This new version will be included in the next MultiBeast release. There is a standalone installer, available at tonymacx86.com/downloads . For bug reporting, feature requests, and general feedback please use the Chimera forum .
In line with today's claims of taller iPhone prototypes with 3.95-inch displays, one of our sources has provided us with images of what are claimed to be new next-generation iOS device parts being carried by a supplier. The most significant of these parts is a claimed front panel from the next-generation iPod touch, with the supplier claiming that the display would be taller than the current model and that the opening in the front panel measures 4.1 inches diagonally. Apple would undoubtedly use the same display size on the iPhone and iPod touch if it were to bring a larger screen to both of the devices, so it is not entirely clear how to mesh recent claims of a 3.95-inch display with this measurement of 4.1 inches and The Wall Street Journal 's claim of "at least four inches", but all of the reports are in the same general size range.

We’re huge fans of Tapbot’s great alternative to the official Twitter app, Tweetbot. This evening a very cool update has been released, which adds iCloud sync for user’s timelines, direct messages, and mute filters. This update is a must have. This Ruby on Rails tutorial for beginners is the perfect comprehensive video guided tour of modern Rails web development.

Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom , who was arrested and charged with racketeering, copyright infringement and money laundering in one of the largest criminal cases of its kind, is maintaining his innocence. Dotcom has previously questioned his accusers’ motives, claiming he isn’t a so-called piracy king , but a man who ran a legitimate business that offered online storage and bandwidth. In an interview with TorrentFreak , Dotcom said that he can refute nearly every claim in the case being brought against him.
