I really hope that Facebook is just faking us all out with this whole “we’re IPO’ing on Wednesday” thing that they haven’t said, in part because I have yet to park $100k of the Dealbreaker slush fund/Bloomberg budget in Facebook shares on SharesPost.

As you likely know, Bloomberg reported earlier that Erin Callan is taking a “personal leave of absence” from her job at Credit Suisse. A reader noted that Callan had something of a “nervous breakdown” this morning, and while we hope that isn’t true, a little digging inside CS suggests it might be. If you’ve heard anything else, let us know.
Re: John Mack’s offer last week to Morgan Stanley IBD analysts: apparently the buyout options were put on the table for second and thirds only, the deal being $27,000 and $32,000, respectively, to walk away from the Lebanese Lothario.

Brian Hunter faces charges of market manipulation - Jul. 8, 2008
Business Week recently included him in its "Rogues' Gallery of Traders," which the magazine explained was a "notorious list of fraudulent trades." Dealbreaker.com likes to call him the "destroyer of all worlds." Hunter is facing accusations involving market manipulation by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a civil case brought by a former Amaranth investor, and a consolidated class action case.
