Egon Schiele - Alle Kunstdrucke und Gemälde von KUNSTKOPIE.DE. Atlas Eclipticalis. August 2012. Vermeer is justifiably heralded as one of greatest painters in the Western canon.

August 2012

While visiting his hometown of Delft, I decided to stop in on the Vermeer Centrum, a museum located on the site of his workshop. The museum owns no paintings, but they exhibit life-size reproductions of all 32 known works in chronological order, as well as some limited information on the artist's techniques. Vermeer is known for a number of things: his elegant lighting, his preoccupation with music, his use of pairings within paintings, his repoussoir or recessing of figures deep into the picture plane, and his softly rendered women who often stare back at viewers hauntingly (above). Vermeer is also known for his unprecedented naturalism. He achieved this by using a camera obscura (above). Wassily Kandinsky.

Leben[Bearbeiten] The Walking Man. Das Blaue Pferd I

While some of her work can seem a little over-processed and derivative, there are select photographs which clearly stand out and demonstrate Campbell's intuitive photographic aptitude. Drawing Lessons - How to Draw the Portrait. 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself. Art. Contextually it’s pivotal, an artistic exploration of the metaphysical, developed in the digital; all rhymes aside, Los Angeles based artist Anthony Gargasz,’s new collection ‘Metallic Faces’ simply cannot be ignored for these three reasons.

Fifteen years ago there was no such thing as ‘Photoshop art’. The thought that art could be generated on computers would have made traditionalists cringe. However, what Anthony has managed to achieve by using his background in digital design is breathtaking and its art in the finest sense of the word. His work is far more than simply ‘generated’, instead it’s an array of elaborate details carefully constructed, layer upon layer to create clean and unique imagery. Anthony follows the exact same artistic progression as somebody who paints, sculpts or draws yet the main point of difference is that his tools are a keyboard, mouse and drawing tablet. SOCIETY.
