玮晴的店 XYZZ HANDMADE. Macaron Coin Purse. Just can’t help for not making these sweet little macaron coin purses when one of Craft Passion’s Facebook fans showed them to me. Thanks to XYZZhandmade for her inspiring handmade and some tutorial links in Japanese, this, this, this and this. No, I can’t read Japanese but I can guess from the pictures on how to sew it. Here is the English version of tutorial on how to sew this macaron coin purse where I add more details in the sewing. The space inside the coin purse is quite limited but good enough to place some small jewelries like ear rings, rings; may be to keep some small coins, folded money; a place to keep small piece of note that wrote your shopping list and reminder etc.

Or, simply use it as a key chain or hanging ornament. Or, turn it into something enormously cute, like this. I have tried both nylon and metal zipper, each gave different feel and effect on the macaron coin purse. {Get full details on next page.} Pages: 1 2 Get all updates via email: Highlights from Our Partners. {Tutorial} Notebook Tee. Although my daughter is 2 and has quite some time before I send her off on a bus...I wanted to make something for one of you amazing readers {well, not for you...for your kiddo}. First, here is a tutorial in case you don't win {or aren't the crafty type}: You will need: fabric paint in light blue and reda foam brusha t-shirt, onesie, or tankcardboard or old cardsa new folder {or a old one in super condition}iron What to do: Step one: Wash, dry & iron your shirt.

Step two: place cardboard or a couple cards between the shirt so the paint won't leak through {sometimes I forget this step and end up with an un-giftable shirt...or one for keeps} Step three: Spread light blue paint along the folded edge of your folder & starting with right below the bottom of the arm, press in as straight a line as you can. And there you have it. Simple Projects Week: Roundup! There are SO many ideas out there that I love and would love to try. It would take pages and pages to share them all. But not all projects are simple, and as I was searching through my favorite websites, I soon discovered that projects that are really quick and simple are not as readily available as I thought!

Still, here are a few that I found and loved. I hope they provide some inspiration! (Links to the tutorials are under the photos.) I love these simple home decor ideas. Especially that lace coffee table. And how cute are these funky autumn pumpkins and leaves? A few tee refashions for the beginner sewer: I'd love to do crayon art just in shades of green or pink. A mouse pad cover is a serious "to do" for me, you should see mine. And of course, there are always more of my own ideas! Ladies' Tutorials. InTheirCloset.com - Celebrity Wardrobes Demystified! DIY Earring Holder. K, so every night when I take my jewelry off, I tend to pile it on a shelf in my closet. I generally wear the same pieces over and over, so I like having them out and easily accessible. Except it’s making a bit of a mess on my shelf. And I like organization.

Enter a shopping trip to Hobby Lobby. Well, sort of. I snagged some sassy coordinating fabric that was 30% off…making it $1.68. The bulletin board and new cute fabric were going to make my earring organizing issues a thing of the past. Once I got home, I grabbed a few more supplies: scissors, glue gun, glue stick, and spray adhesive. The fabric was cut to the size of the cork board. Then the edges of the cute fabric were hot glued to the frame. Once I was done, the board was returned to the frame. And here’s the completed look: My earrings are just poked through the cork. If you’d like to add necklaces or a bracelet, a picture hanger with a nail would hold things nicely.

How to Make Wire Wrapped Pendant Frames Using Gadgets. I was totally charmed when I came across Leonardo Martinez's video on Youtube on how to make funky art bead and wire earrings. That's because he used a cell phone as a mandrel! The cell phone has a great shape that's perfect for making wire wrapped frames. Pendants would be better unless you love big earrings. I was so inspired I went around the house looking for other gadgets to experiment with.

A remote for a fan and an iPod nano (2nd generation) also became mandrels as you can see from my trial frames above using 20G colored copper wire. Here are some additional pointers : Make sure you are using completely smooth wire. If you are using a cell phone, avoid the buttons (if any) at the side of the phone. Rather than twisting the wires together at the top like he did, you could make one of the wires perpendicular at the midway point using your chain nose pliers. Then make a horizontal "hook" with the other wire so you can link them both together before doing a wrapped loop. The Bride's Cafe. DIYs & Downloads | Wedloft by WeddingWindow.com - Part 3. Good afternoon folks, It’s time for me to introduce you to another creative mastermind who has made it into my Dream Team. As many of you who follow Pocketful of Dreams will know, only the very best make it into my Dream Team. These are the people who I believe have that creative edge and spark of brilliance when it comes to their craft, Leo Bojesen is one of those people. A wedding photographer, originally from Sweden and now residing in Sheffield, Leo specialises in weddings, engagements and lifestyle serving the Yorkshire area and UK.

Leo (that would be him pictured below) told me all about his passion for photography and why he believes in capturing memories in a moment ….. When people meet me or listen to my voice, one of the first things they ask is where are you from? To keep it short, I’m born in Sweden, grew up in Ohio, USA, moved back to Sweden and now I’m in the UK. Why did you become a wedding photographer? I have always had an interest in art. Simple Bow Hair Clips (with no-slip grip) When my oldest girl was a brand new baby (who is now almost 5 years old), I made bows for her head/hair. Lots of them. I got a little tired of telling people that she was a girl, not a boy. The pink and purple outfits were never distinct enough for people to realize she was a girl.

But if I slapped a little bow on that sweet little head, there was never any mistaking that she was a girl. Whew. I loved making her all those bows so much, that I started a little bow making business, through a blog. (Okay, fess up! That was almost 5 years ago, WOW………and back when blogs were such a brand new trend. So now that I have another little girl, I pulled out the old stash of little hair clippies with the no-slip grip on it…….and have been clipping them right to her super fine hair too.

(Though, this time around…….I could care less if someone thought she was a boy. Some bows are more complicated and are a serious masterpiece (though I don’t care for the bigger ones anymore)……. Simple. Lovely, right? Family Photos: Think Outside the Frame | Spark. Whoa. CUTE PINK STUFF ... and more. Hanging Oval Silhouette Frames. I found these oval frames at a yard sale this past summer. They were pretty wretched. I don't even want to know what stained the cross-stitching. I paid $ .25 each for them. This was the same Saturday that I acquired the $2 table that now resides at in the girls room. I immediately gave them a coat of black paint with my trusty Krylon flat and sort of forgot about them until we got back from Walt Disney World.

This is what I came up with to dress up the frame! Here's what you will need (plus a paperclip not pictured). I cut 1 piece of ribbon 4" long and one piece 28" long. I hot glued the short ribbon to the back of the frame at the top. Then I tied a bow with the long piece of ribbon and hot glued it to the top of the short ribbon. (TIP - If your ribbon wants to fray, take a lighter and burn the ends really lightly and quickly. {We got the girls' silhouettes done at Walt Disney World. I hung them on my little gallery wall and every time I walk by they make me smile. :) p.s. {Featured} Spring Wreath Featured on Craft O Maniac Silhouette Wall art Tutorial Featured on Tatertots & Jello Chevron Pillows featured during The 36th Avenue "Sticker Time," Craft O Maniac "Saturday Spotlight" & Whipper Berry "Flair Features" Ruffled Canvas Tote Tutorial Featured on Ucreate & The Tip Junkie Featured during Oopsey Daisy's "Wednesday Wowzers:" Embroidered Mason Jar Artwork Trick or Treat tote Tutorial Featured on Eighteen 25 Halloween Chalkboard Wreath Tutorial Featured on The 36th Avenue Anthro Kids Tea and Crumpets Knock Off Tutorial Featured At the Scrap Shoppe "Oh Deer" Embroidery Hoop artwork featured at: Flamingo Toes (Crush of the Week), Positively Splendid (The Saturday 7), The 36th Avenue (Sticker Time), Dondalees (Tutorial) Featured in the February issue of Romantic Homes under the "Sight Seeing Section"

Felt Flower tutorial. Well hello there lovely Skip To My Lou readers! I’m Sierra and I blog over at the Blue Robin Cottage! I adore anything crafty and I am inspired by everything vintage. I am so honored and thrilled to be guest posting today and sharing my felt flower tutorial with you! So let’s get started! The ingredient list is pretty simple and includes: *Wool felt *Scissors *Hot glue gun Start by cutting out a cute little circle from your wool felt.

Cut long strips of wool felt about 2 inches in width. Add a line of hot glue on the very edge of one of your strips of wool felt. Fold over the other edge and press down. Now you have a skinny strip of wool felt about an inch in width. Take your scissors and make cuts into your strip of wool felt on the folded edge, making sure not to cut all the way through. Add hot glue to the edge of your circle. Glue down the strip of wool felt. Once you’ve finished gluing down the first row of the wool felt strip all the way around the circle, start on your second row. Gifts For Friends | Skip To My Lou - Part 3. Lifestyle. DIY Fashion:Chunky Bangle Bracelet. I’ve decided to take it upon myself to deem 2011 the “year of the bracelet” not the pie. Bracelets are less damaging on the hips than Granny’s good ol’ apple pie anyways. In case you’ve been living under a rock bracelets are every where; stacked, thin, chunky, colorful, they are e-v-e-r-y where!

The other day I happen to be in a department store shopping for shoes and while zipping through the jewelry department some pretty aqua green and gold bangles caught my eye. As most “DIYourselvers” {has Mr. Chunky bangle {I found mine at Michael’s} 2 different colored but complimentary embroidery threads {ya know the kind you used for your friendship bracelets!} Gold 1mm elastic cord Scissors Glue Gun To get started, you’ll want to cut a few strands of your bangle’s primary colored embroidery thread. Now that the bangle is completely covered, it is time to add your second color of thread. Time for your final step! Isn’t she a beauty? There are a ton of ways you can customize your own jewelry.
